Today's three-game NHL DFS slate is highlighted by Jake Guentzel who is due for another big night. Also don't miss out on some of the great value plays available on the wing today with Luke Kunin of the Predators facing the Blues. As always don't forget you can use the lineup generator to help put your lineup together as well.

Today's two-game NHL DFS slate is highlighted by Alex Ovechkin who is due for another big night. Also don't miss out on some of the great value plays available on defence today with Ryan Lindgren of the Rangers facing the Kings. As always don't forget you can use the lineup generator to help put your lineup together as well.

Flyers at Islanders

The Islanders have struggled to score all season, and that trend hasn’t changed recently. The good news for them is that the Flyers’ goalies haven’t been great again this season. If you’re going to play the Islanders, you will likely want to look at some combination of Mathew Barzal, and Anders Lee however Josh Bailey and Zach Parise both have two points in their last two games, so you could pair Bailey with either Lee or Barzal, and you could consider Parise as a one-off. When we look at the Flyers, Cam Atkinson looks like the top target. He has scored a goal in three of the Flyers last five games and he is also the most likely player to hit five shots. You can pair him with either Claude Giroux or Joel Farabee for a stack that has some potential to put up numbers.

On defence, Noah Dobson is your best play for the Islanders. He has points in three of his last five games, and he is a player who can get to five shots and/or three blocks in a night if you’re playing on DraftKings. Looking at the Flyers defence, you can go to Keith Yandle who has points in each of his last two games, but the Flyers have called up their top prospect in Cam York who is immediately going to play on the top powerplay, and you can get him at the minimum price, so that is going to be a nice value play.

We will expect Ilya Sorokin to get the start tonight for the Islanders. He is a solid play with the Flyers scoring woes, and if they end up going to Semyon Varlamov he is usable as well. The Flyers are expected to start Martin Jones tonight, who oddly has been the better of the two Flyers goalies recently. With that said, and this being a road game, I would rather avoid the Flyers goalie situation tonight with the Islanders not being a team that shoots a lot, and the odds of them getting the win being low.

Predators at Blues

When looking at the Predators tonight, you’re going to want to pay attention to Matt Duchene, and Luke Kunin especially with the status of Filip Forsberg still up in the air. Both players have three goals in their last three games, but Duchene has 13 shots, five more than Kunin in that same period of time. If you’re going to play Duchene you will want to look to pair him with either Mikael Granlund or Eeli Tolvanen. Both are on the top line with Duchene and both are on the top power-play as well. If you’re going to stack with Kunin you will want to go to Ryan Johanson, who will also give you some exposure to the Preds' top power play. Much of the recent production from the Blues has come from their second and third lines recently with Brandon Saad, Jordan Kyrou, and Robert Thomas each with three points in their last two games. Not to be completely out done Ryan O’Reilly is coming off a two-goal game, and he has three in this last three games.

Roman Josi has been a slate breaker in his last two outings. He has back-to-back games where he has put up more than five shots and three blocks. He had a goal and an assist in those two games as well, and now has points in more than five straight games for the Preds. Tory Krug and Justin Faulk continue to be the targets for the Blues. Krug has points in four of his last five games but hasn’t put a shot on goal in back-to-back games, while Faulk has been shooting more often, but only has points in three of his last five games.

We should expect Juuse Saros to start for Nashville. This is a tough game on the road for him, but he has been one of the better goalies in the league this year, so he is certainly usable in a GPP game today. With Jordan Binnington still in COVID protocol, Ville Husso will get the start for the Blues. He has played well in his last two starts against Seattle and Washington, so if he can play well again tonight he could certainly get the win at home.

Penguins at Golden Knights

The Penguins have been well served by the return of Evgeni Malkin. He has three points in his last three games, and he has also sparked Jeff Carter who has scored twice in the last three games. The Penguins' top line with Jake Guentzel continues to be productive as well with Guentzel posting three points in his last three games, and with Bryan Rust expected to be back tonight the Penguins will have their full top six for the first time this year. Vegas has seen even production from their top two lines even with their injuries. I would look for the Marchessault-Karlsson-Smith line in terms of scoring tonight with Vegas at home, and they will likely deploy the Stephenson-Stone line to try and keep tabs on Pittsburgh’s top line.

Kris Letang continues to put up big numbers for the Pens. He has scored in back-to-back games and has points in five straight games. Alex Pietrangelo is coming off of a six-shot game where he scored a goal, but with Shea Theodore expected to be back, he will likely move off of the top power-play again. Both players should be usable, but neither would be my top choice at their price.

It should be Tristan Jarry in the net for the Penguins today. He is coming off a rough start against the Kings, but he has otherwise been solid all season long. This is a winnable game for the Penguins so he is worth a look. We are expecting Robin Lehner to get the start for Vegas. Lehner has lost in regulation just once in his last five starts and is always worth a look.
