QUARTERBACKS

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Bryce YoungBAMACINCY900030.311120028.57
The Heisman winner will be popular on this slate with the potential to put up 40+ DK points and the real DFS floor of 20-25 in this high-scoring Alabama offense. The matchup vs. Cincy is tough on paper but the defense hasn’t faced anyone like the Tide yet. You can play Young with confidence in cash.
Sam HartmanWAKERU850031.491200030.59
Whether you play him in the same lineups as Young or roster him instead, Hartman is a top-tier play on this slate against the subpar Rutgers defense. He brings some dual-threat ability with his 11 rushing TDs and 36 passing TDs over 13 games this season in an uptempo, pass-first offense. Expect him to have a ton of success in this matchup to anchor your lineups as either your QB1 or Super-Flex.
Jayden de LauraWSUCMU710020.56920019.92
In a very favorable matchup vs. Central Michigan’s 117th-ranked pass defense, de Laura should be a popular Super-Flex play at these affordable salaries and the realistic floor of 20+ DFS points. He averaged 250+ passing yards, 2+ TDs and 20 DK points per game during the regular season and should be active in this game with Washington State without their regular top two RBs.
Daniel RichardsonCMUWSU620015.09740015.45
Richardson might be the cheapest QB worth rostering on this slate - though you can take your chances with Cade McNamara or Noah Vedral in GPPs. With Richardson, though, he could end up throwing it a lot more than usual if CMU is trailing Washington St early. The upside for 20+ DFS points is there in a high-total matchup.

Also Consider:

  • Desmond Ridder -- Cincinnati ($7,700 DK / $8,500 FD)

RUNNING BACKS

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Lew Nichols IIICMUWSU950030.711050027.97
Though he’s mighty expensive, Nichols is always hard to fade in cash or GPP if he’s on the slate. He’s a true workhorse back where his heavy volume in a run-centric offense gives him one of the best DFS floor/ceiling combos of any RB in the country. His production could go unmatched on this slate and the matchup is a decent one - the WSU rush defense gave up 4.7 ypc and 162 ypg this season.
Brian Robinson Jr.BAMACINCY680022.66950020.81
Though Robinson Jr. hasn’t been the usual DFS stud this season that Najee Harris and other lead Bama RBs have been in the past, he’s still a strong cash or GPP play because he’s in a potent offense. In this game, Robinson Jr. may be used more as a pass-catcher out of the backfield since John Metchie is out. Plus, the long layoff should’ve helped him get healthy after dealing with a late-season injury.
Blake CorumMICHUGA440019.47650017.38
It’s tough to pay up for Haskins against the elite Georgia rush defense, but Corum is a better bargain as he’s too cheap considering the upside he’s previously shown this season. Though he’s recently coming off a foot injury, he did play in the last two games and the extended time off likely helped him get back close to full strength. Corum’s playmaking speed will surely be needed to beat the UGA defense and he may end up with better numbers than Haskins in the end.
Isaih PachecoRUWAKE42009.4462007.71
Pacheco declared for the NFL Draft, so it remains to be seen how much or if he plays in this bowl game. If he plays to boost his Draft stock, it’s a good matchup vs. Wake’s 114th-ranked rush defense and he’s worth the risk. Stil, we don’t know how much playing time he gets unless there’s more clarity before kickoff. If Pacheco is out, you can look at Aaron Young.
Nakia WatsonWSUCMU35000.8755000.87
Watson is basically the free square of the slate now. He’s now in line to be Washington State’s starting RB with both Max Borghi and Deon McIntosh out for this game and won’t need to do much to exceed value at some dirt cheap prices on both sites. Though he’s only totaled 52 rushing yards on 19 carries this whole season, we can expect a bigger workload here as the lead guy.

Also Consider:

  • Hassan Haskins -- Michigan ($8,100 DK / $8,000 FD)
  • James Cook -- Georgia ($5,000 DK / $5,800 FD)
  • Justice Ellison -- Wake Forest ($4,300 DK / $6,000 FD)

WIDE RECEIVERS

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Jameson WilliamsBAMACINCY880025.921000022.53
Williams has been Bryce Young’s top target all season and he should see plenty of targets now with John Metchie out. The price tags are definitely expensive to pay up for a WR, but Williams is worth it. He put up 35, 42, 48 and 40 DK points in four of the last five games and the only time he didn’t was due to an early ejection. He’s a TD waiting to happen any time he touches the ball and the floor/ceiling combo is elite on this slate.
Brock BowersUGAMICH700017.98770014.61
Even in a low total and defensive-focused game, Bowers has the DFS upside to break the slate like he’s done multiple times this season. The true freshman tight end is Georgia’s most reliable pass-catcher and top red zone weapon as a trusted target for Stetson Bennett. If Michigan’s defense has trouble containing him, we could easily see 30+ DFS points from Bowers.
A.T. PerryWAKERU660021.51940019.02
Perry has been a top DFS wideout all year but he’s now even more important to Wake’s offense with Jace Roberson sitting this game out. He’s the ideal pairing if you’re playing Sam Hartman as the two connected on 14 TDs over 13 games this season. Expect a higher floor of targets and receptions for Perry now that Roberson is out too.
Kalil PimpletonCMUWSU630018.51840015.09
On any other slate, Pimpleton would be a top DFS receiver option if the aforementioned pass-catchers weren’t also in action. Since many people will opt for Jameson Williams or A.T. Perry, it makes CMU’s playmaker a nice contrarian play with the upside to smash the slate with 30+ DFS points. JaCorey Sullivan is also a solid way to go if you want cheaper exposure to the CMU offense.
Calvin Jackson Jr.WSUCMU610017.23810014.11
Both of the top Washington State pass-catchers are firmly in play with a favorable matchup against the shaky CMU secondary. You probably can’t go wrong with either Travell Harris or Calvin Jackson Jr. as both see enough receptions/targets to provide a safe floor. Jackson Jr. maybe gets the slight edge as the cheaper of the two, but both likely go a bit overlooked considering all the other WR talent on the slate.
Taylor MorinWAKERU49009.7767008.63
With Roberson sitting out, Morin moves into the No. 2 WR role for Wake in this bowl game. He’s been a reliable third target for Hartman all year but the expectations are now obviously raised with more receptions and red zone opportunities coming. He’s too cheap for the potential at 4x or 5x return.
George PickensUGAMICH39003.850003.05
After being out all year, Pickens returned for UGA’s regular season finale and the SEC title game and had three catches combined. It’s unclear how healthy his knee is at this point, but the guy is one of the offense’s top playmakers and could see an expanded role in this Playoff matchup. It’s definitely a risky play because of the recent return from injury and time spent in COVID protocols lately. However, he’s cleared to go and could easily smash value with a TD or a big play.
Ja'Corey BrooksBAMACINCY39003.7853003.28
With John Metchie out, a number of Tide receivers will be playing larger roles in the offense and at least one of them will smash value. Unfortunately it’s a guessing game until the game gets going and we see which is clearly more involved or a favorite target for Bryce Young than others. Right now, Brooks is the most likely as he stepped up in the Iron Bowl and caught a late TD once Jameson Williams was ejected. Brooks and JoJo Earle were both mentioned by Tide OC Bill O’Brien as guys who will be needed in Metchie’s absence, for what it’s worth.
Shameen JonesRUWAKE35005.9852004.62
It remains to be seen how much or whether Bo Melton plays in this bowl game with him going pro. If Melton is out or plays limited snaps, then Jones would benefit the most in a larger role. He’s in line to be Rutgers’ No. 1 wideout next season and should be motivated to play well in this bowl despite only totaling 304 yards on 34 receptions this year.

Also Consider:

  • Alec Pierce -- Cincinnati ($6,000 DK / $7,000 FD)

  • Tre Tucker -- Cincinnati ($3,800 DK / $5,400 FD)
  • JoJo Earle -- Alabama ($3,600 DK / $4,100 FD)
