There are some really exciting matchups and flashy players on this slate. You have the MSI champions taking on arguably the worst team in the LPL which should lead to some explosive plays as well as the likes of Chovy, Bdd, and FATE all on the same slate. There are some fight heavy teams playing, especially in the LCK this morning so there are going to be plenty of avenues for you to try and win your lobbies! Let’s get after it!

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Captain

Favorite: GALA (RNG: $12,000) While Royal Never Give up has yet to play a game this split, it would be foolish to expect anything but a strong showing from them against Oh My God. While OMG did beat IG, it is safe to say that isn’t super shocking with how inconsistent we have seen IG be this year. RNG and Gala showed the world that they are on notice as they beat the reigning World Champions in a 5 game set. While the meta has shifted some, I can see Gala transitioning smoothly from the Kai Sai to the Ezreal and Ming looking to make more plays with their jungler Wei. Love this pick here.

Value Pick: bin (SUN: $10,200)

Top Lane

Favorite: Morgan (HLE: $6,400) The top lane was a struggle for HLE last split, I think now that they have really settled into Morgan top, I can see this pick gaining in value. Summit (his lane opponent) is a possible pick for this spot as well because of all the kills he can pick up, I think he is too volatile and HLE will take advantage of it. Look for Morgan to possibly get counter pick and then yoHan to spend time top to ensure SUmmit doesn’t have too many opportunities in the early game.

Value Pick: Rich (NS: $5,200)

Jungle

Favorite: Wei (RNG: $7,400) I would argue that Wei outclassed pretty much every jungler at MSI and it was especially showing in the MSI finals. I don’t think Canyon ever was able to make a real impact on the game because Wei was aggressive and set the tone. While Aki and OMG were able to beat XUN and IG, I think that is more reflective of the problems IG has with consistent play. Consistency is one of the greatest strengths of Wei. He understands every match up and possible jungle pathing of his opponent. This means he is where he needs to be almost at all times in the game. Wei should hit the ground running in the summer split here.

Value Pick: H4cker (UP: $6,400)

Mid Lane

Favorite: Bdd (GEN: $7,000) I think there is a lot to get excited about Bdd here. Not only did Gen.G really set themselves apart in the Spring split of the LCK but it looks like Bdd hasn’t slowed down at all. In 8 games this split he has 29 kills and 44 assists as well as 67% team kill participation. I do think Gen.G has had some pretty soft competition to begin the split, but NS’ strength is not in their mid lane, so I expect good numbers here.

Value Pick: irma (UP: $6,600)

ADC

Favorite: Deft (HLE: $7,400) I love this team too much, so feel free to fade me here. Both HLE and LSB are both 0-2. The difference? HLE have had to start their split against a redefined T1 as well as Gen.G. I know that HLE struggle at times with consistency, but you cannot doubt the talent gap between Deft/Vsta and Prince/Effort. LSB looked better with Prine in the ADC role but they are still unable to make any impact in the early game. He deaths will drop dramatically and the kills/assists should jump.

Value Pick: deokdam (NS: $6,800)

Support

Favorite: Ming (RNG: $6,000) He supports Gala. If you pick up one, invest and pick up the other. This will be a high percentage ownership support for a reason. I would imagine most of his points will come in the mid to late game, but this series should get pretty bloody which makes it a good pick for me!

Value Pick: Life (GEN: $5,000)

Team

Favorite: Royal Never Give Up ($5,800) I am not sure if RNG are going to win the Spring split. Teams like FPX, EDG, and Team WE look as imposing as they did at the end of Spring. On paper though, this is a huge mismatch and if they come in at all with any sense of direction, this should be a very fast 2-0 for the MSI champions.

Value Pick: Nongshim Redforce ($4,400)
