The big dogs play in the LPL and LCK on Sunday morning! There are so many electric storylines for Sunday but none are bigger than the possible return of Uzi. There are countless pros who point to Uzi and his playmaking as the reason for their own professional aspirations. We also see the projected top two teams in the LCK facing off for the first time in 2022 with DWG and GEN squaring off in the second match of the morning. So many stars on one slate, so many possible future implications, and so many ways to build a winning lineup. Let’s dive in!

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Captain

Favorite: Rookie (V5: $11,100) My only fear with this pick is that there are two mid laners for V5. Rookie was one of the most skilled individual in the LCK for 2021 and most would agree he carried Invictus for the majority of bothy Spring and Summer split. If Rookie gets the nod you will get the benefit of an almost limitless ceiling. When teams have prioritized getting Rookie the best set up possible (through champion pick and jungle proximity) Rookie has dropped huge numbers. Shanks, his lane opponent for Sunday, had a horrible showing earlier this week and traditionally is passive in lane. When facing Rookie, you have to fight fire with fire.

Value Pick: Breathe (BLG: $10,200)

Top

Favorite: shanji (OMG: $6,200) Through four games played, shanji has the second most kills among all top laners in the LPL with 19. Having almost 5 kills a game is an impressive feat but to also average less that two deaths as well is even more impressive. I am not a huge fan of paying a ton of money for a top laner because of the tendency for top laners to be stuck on tank duty. I love the new look OMG for 2022 so far and this is a great investment for your lineup.

Value Pick: Morgan (BRO: $5,400)

Jungle

Favorite: Weiwei (BLG: $7,200) BLG was a powerderkeg of a team in 2021 and the explosiveness looks to be even more in 2022. Weiwei like to play the game aggressively and look for fights around the map which will make for a very bloody game against WBG. I tend to look for the more aggressive teams when playing LPL because trying to pick winners isn’t as consistent. Playing the players tendency (like Weiwei being great at picking up kills - 131 in 41 games in 2021 Summer) and he is playing SofM who shares that same playstyle.

Value Pick: Peanut (GEN: $5,800)

Mid

Favorite: FoFo (BLG: $7,400) Fofo is playing Angel on Sunday morning and generally speaking, I don’t mind picking into Angel. While he is usually a pretty safe player, Angel also does not make his opponents too uncomfortable in lane. This then makes me look to the surrounding matchups and I think BLG has the edge on the top side of the map. Look for FoFo (who had a 6.0 KDA for the whole Summer Split) to roam and capitalize on the plays by Weiwei.

Value Pick: Chovy (GEN: $$6,200)

ADC

Favorite: SamD (HLE: $7,800) SamD has been a decent ADC in the LCK but didn’t consistently stand out. HLE is facing BRO on Sunday, so I think there is an opportunity for SamD to shine. Hena has really bad games and is prone to getting caught out. I look at this as an opportunity for HLE to rotate numbers down and punish his positioning early. SamD is off to a fast start in the kill category with 16 kills in 3 games and has only died twice. I love the positive kill/death ratio and I have more faith in the HLE squad.

Value Pick: huanfeng (WBG: $6,600)

Support

Favorite: cold (OMG: $5,200) When teams have multiple players per position, it is usually safe to say they don’t have anyone in that position. IG is looking weak with their expanded 8 man roster in 2022. The OMG bottom lane have produced in their four games in 2022 (24 kills, 25 deaths, and 77 assists- a combined KDA of 4.04) and I don’t think the disjointed IG will put much pressure on them. Cold is willing to trade his life for kills, but we are seeing him make those sacrifices for high payoffs.

Value Pick: Lehends (GEN: $4,400)

Team

Favorite: Hanwha Life Esports ($5,200) There are a lot of metrics to measure teams but the one I usually use most is the gold differential at 15 minutes. HLE is currently sitting at a +1012 while BRO is sitting at a -1271. That 2k gold difference is a massive indicator on how tomorrow could play out. I fully expect BRO to look scrappy in the laning phase (they could even get out to a very early lead) but when it comes time to make good rotations around the map, HLE should outpace them.

Value Pick: Weibo Gaming ($4,000)
