While Week 1 of the 2021 NFL season officially started Thursday, our NFL DFS season starts right here and right now. Sunday’s DFS Main Slate is right around the corner and it’s time to start building those lineups and your bankroll. We are all incredibly excited to get things going and we have high expectations for the Fantasy Alarm #FAmily this year.
If you are a long-time member of #FANation, welcome back. Obviously, we’ve got a new look with our one site branching off into three separate ones – Fantasy Alarm for seasonal fantasy, DFS Alarm for daily fantasy sports and Wager Alarm for all your betting needs. To make it easier for you, we’ve linked all three sites together. All you have to do is go to the top of any of the home pages and you’ll see the nice, colorful links.
We have also done some major enhancements with our NFL tools. We continue to crunch the numbers and tweak our algorithms so that our projections are the best in the industry and that, in turn, has improved things like our Lineup Generator and our DFS Compare tool. You’ll also want to check out our new Analytics section of the NFL menu as we’ve got all the data you could possibly want.
If you are new to the #FAmily, welcome! All the aforementioned tools are, obviously, at your disposal as well, but please allow me to point you towards more of the content and tools we provide to help you crush your DFS contests each week. It also makes for a nice introduction to our DFS team.

In addition to the positional coaching pieces, you also have things like the DFS Watch List, where I provide you with a list of players I am looking at throughout the week. We have the NFL DFS Podcast with me and Jon Impemba, who also does the Contrarian Corner video and check out the DFS Bargains from our newest #FAmily member Tera Roberts (@ItsTeraTime).
Also, our Master of Tools, Matt Selz (@theselzman), supplies you data junkies with the Weekly Match-Up Report and everyone should also be checking out the WR/CB Match-Up Report from Ryan Hallam (@fightingchance).
Yes, that's a lot of content and sure, it can be overwhelming, but these pieces come out throughout the week, so if you're seeing all of this for the first time, just know that it all starts trickling out at the beginning of the week so you can attack the info steadily rather than get slammed all at once. I would suggest that you go through the NFL Menu and start bookmarking a lot of these pieces for ease of use in the future.
Once you've got all of that under your belt, it's time to look at the Playbook. It usually arrives in the early afternoon on Saturdays which gives you ample time to read through everything, make your notes and begin working on your lineups. On Sunday morning, I will provide you with Example Lineups for Draft Kings, Fan Duel and Yahoo! Daily, so you have something to compare your own to before finalizing.

You might notice that there isn't much variance from the Watch List this week. Simply put, it's Week 1 and the guys I've written up in the Watch List are the ones who stood out the most as I was doing my research. It won't always be like this, but since we don't have any “new” data to go one, this is what we've got. Doesn't make it any less effective for you. All of my lineups are coming from here with maybe a player or two emerging from the Dart Board.
