Quarterback

Trevor Lawrence, QB JAX vs. ARI ($26)

While everyone looks Justin Fields’ way, which is a very viable strategy in itself, I’ll be taking a look at the number one overall pick from this year's draft. The match-up Lawrence and the Jaguars have for themselves is a doozy. All three of the Cardinals corners rank 40th or worse, including two outside of the top-55 through two weeks per PFF. Lawrence and the Jaguars have another game script that’s going to force them to throw the ball because they’ll likely be playing from behind. He’s already slung around 84 times this season, which is the sixth most in the league. What I love seeing is Lawrence is consistently driving the ball down the field. He’s fourth in deep ball attempts (11), fourth in air yards (767) and fourth in air yards per attempt (9.1). Things are going to turn around in a hurry for Lawrence and this is the match-up it happens for him.

Running Back

Ty’Son Williams, RB BAL vs. DET ($18)

While everyone focuses on the three-headed attack in the backfield and Lamar Jackson, let’s show Williams’ some love. He was one yard away from having a monster fantasy performance before fumbling on the goal line. In Week 2, he notched 15 touches, 37 snaps and ran 14 routes as well, which was far and away tops on the team. Through two games, the Lions rank 29th in DVOA against the run. In Week 1, Elijah Mitchell topped 100 yards and in Week 2, Aaron Jones did his best LeBron James impersonation with not one, not two, not three but four touchdowns. This is the BEST game script for Williams to be in.

Wide Receiver

Marvin Jones Jr. WR JAX vs. ARI ($17)

It has been clear from the outset that Marvin Jones Jr. was Lawrence’s favorite target and he’s greatly benefiting from it. Jones has been on the field for 116 of the 129 offensive snaps through two games and Jones also leads with 20 targets. He’s been a primary target in the red zone, too, notching three looks there, which is tied for the second most in the league. I want to pair a Jacksonville receiver, or two, with Lawrence here and Jones is a prime candidate. D.J. Chark is also very cheap at just $15 and after his down performance in Week 2, he’ll fly under the radar here.

Darnell Mooney, WR CHI vs. CLE ($12)

Everything is trending upwards for Mooney right now. He has 15 targets through two games, the same number as Allen Robinson. Mooney has been on the field for 127 of the 134 offensive snaps through two games, which is actually more than Robinson and any other skill position player on the Bears. The Browns secondary has been dreadful to start the year ranking 31st in pass DVOA. Fields has averaged 9.9 air yards per attempt on his 15 throws this year and Mooney and his 4.38 40-time speed loves to go get deep balls. He just needs someone who drop it in the bread basket and Fields is that guy. Love Mooney at this price for both cash and tournaments.

Tight End

Austin Hooper, TE CLE vs. CHI ($12) / David Njoku, TE CLE ($11)

The Browns have had a lot of moving parts in the past week in their receiving corps. Exit Jarvis Landry, enter Odell Beckham Jr. who hasn’t played since Week 7 of last year. The two constants have been Austin Hooper and David Njoku. They’ve both seen at least eight targets through the first two weeks. They’ve both averaged over 35 offensive snaps per game and the Browns run 12 personnel 24% of the time, which is higher than the league average of 23%. With all of the uncertainty surrounding their passing game, both of these guys, at near minimum salary, provide us with upside. If Chicago chooses to put eight in the box and commit to stopping the run, we could see one or both of these guys have a breakout game.
