Today’s Top Plays

Julius Randle UNDER 30.5 points+rebounds

I’m not sure what I’m missing here, but I’m willing to bet against Vegas here. In the last eight games Randles played in, he’s gone over this mark…wait, he hasn’t. He has not gone over this mark in eight consecutive outings and didn’t go over it when the Knicks played the Timberwolves earlier in the year.

Since the calendar flipped to 2022, the Timberwolves rank seventh in DRtg and sixth in rebounding. Two direct correlations to Randle here. There are also some rumblings that usage monster, Kemba Walker, could be returning here.

He’s listed as questionable, but if he plays, that’s definitely a hit to Randle. If Walker is ruled in, this play will get taken down at this number and I’m willing to take a shot on it even if he doesn’t because he’s missed seven straight and Randle STILL hasn’t hit the over 30.5 once over that span.

Cory Joseph OVER 12.5 points+assists

Since returning from his stint on the health & safety list, Joseph has played 24+ minutes in four straight games. He’s been playing in competitive games AND blowouts as well. Don’t believe me? Look at the picture below. With Frank Jackson ruled out once again for Tuesday’s game, his role should be safe.

Dating back to his games prior to the COVID list, he’s gone over 12.5 points+assists in seven straight games. He’s done it by points alone in four of the seven, but considering he’s posted four or more assists in five straight games, he has multiple ways to top this number.
