Top Tier

Brandon Woodruff - We saw Woodruff in this spot right before the break and he had one of his more mediocre performances, but I am willing to go back to the well given his elite strikeout upside. Woodruff was as advertised during the first half of the season, posting an ERA of 2.07 while striking 129 over 113.1 innings.

Walker Buehler - Pitching in Coors is usually a sign to stay away from the pitching options but I think this presents a high upside contrarian option with a player as talented as Buehler on tonight’s slate. The Dodgers are big favorites to win and the Rockies offense has show that they can be tamed at home this season.

Mid-Tier

Nathan Eovaldi - Eovaldi is actually one of my favorite pitchers on tonight’s slate regardless of price point. He has been flat out dominant in his career against the Yankees. In his last two outings against New York he has allowed three total runs over 13.2 innings while striking out 13. Add in the fact that tonight the Yankees are without key bats and this feels like a lock.

Yusei Kikuchi - Kikuchi was a popular sleeper heading into this season and he had a very good first half, posting a 3.48 ERA with a 1.09 WHIP while striking out 98 over 98.1 innings. The Angels were held in check last night by Chris Flexen and I have higher hopes for Kikuchi tonight given his strikeout upside.

Value Tier

Kwang Hyun Kim - Kim has been a solid option all season but the lack of innings had kept him from being a reliable DFS option. In his last two starts however he has pitched deeper into games, tossing 13 scoreless innings while striking out nine. One of those starts was seven shutout innings against tonight’s opponent in the Giants.
