South Alabama- 26.50 pts

Navy- 22.50 pts

Georgia Southern – 23.60 pts

QUARTERBACKS

Seth Henigan (Memphis) Opp Navy ($8.5K)

Memphis is in the midst of a three-game losing streak and it won’t have many possessions against Navy, but the quarterback selection is not the greatest on this slate. Henigan is a freshman that has held his own and is ranked fifth in the nation in passing with 1,938 yards and eighth in passing yards per game (323.0). Coming off a 463-yard passing game against Tulsa where he threw two touchdowns along with two picks Henigan faces a Navy defense that is allowing 234.2 yards passing per game. With the highest implied total of the slate (33 points) Henigan is the top overall quarterback in all formats.

Jake Bentley (South Alabama) Opp GSU ($6.9)

It’s been an up and down season for the former South Carolina quarterback that heads up a South Alabama offense that is averaging 356.2 yards per game. Coming off his best game since week one going 19/26 with 189 yards and two touchdowns in an overtime loss to Texas State, Bentley now gets to face the worst pass defense in the nation in Georgia Southern. The Southern Eagles are allowing 337.2 yards per game including 9.0 yards per pass attempt and an unreal 20 touchdown passes in six games.

Also Consider:

Tai Lavatai (Navy) $6.2K The sophomore dual threat QB has started last two games of the triple-option Navy offense.  Ran 24 times for 53 yards in last weeks 31-24 loss to SMU; is getting better every week.

RUNNING BACKS

Brnadon Thomas (Memphis) Opp Navy ($6.5K)

When you play Navy you need to control the game flow and Memphis will be leaning on Thomas to do just that. The redshirt freshman has had a breakout year rushing for over 500 yards and scoring five touchdowns and more impressively has beaten out veterans Rodrigues Clark, Marquavious Weaver and Kylan Watkins to become the featured back. He accounts for 47% of the rushing volume on the team and with Navy allowing 14 rushing touchdowns in six games, Thomas is the top back of the slate.

Isaac Ruoss (Navy) Opp MEM ($4.9K)

Running back takes a massive dive after Thomas with so many question marks. South Alabama is dealing with injuries and game time decisions on more than one runner and the same goes for Georgia Southern. May be a bit different here from the field but why not take a stab at Ruoss who is actually the RB2 to James Harris II but has 45 carries over the last three games, eating 34% of the carries over the last two and leads the Midshipmen in rushing over the entire season with 233 yards. Navy plays a smash-mouth style in that triple option and of their 59 average runs per game average 220 yards – 20th in the nation.

Also Consider:

South Alabama Running Backs

A South Alabama runner could be in play against a bad Georgia Southern rush defense that is allowing 150 yards per game, but this is a situation that needs to be monitored close to lock. Their top two rushers Kareem Walker ($6.7K) and Terrion Avery ($3.6K) are both game to game status with Walker probably getting the start if he does play as he leads the team with 208 rushing yards and four touchdowns in three games played. If Walker is out and Avery plays, I would expect Avery to get the start and become a decent value at $3.6K. If both remain out, then expect AJ Phillips ($6.0K) and Bryan Hill ($4.5K) to split the backfield again as they did against Texas State last weekend- Hill got the start but Phillips was much better running for 75 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Calvin Austin III (Memphis) Opp Navy ($9.3K)

All the talk has been about the three consecutive Memphis losses and the job status of the coaching staff but hardly anyone from a national perspective is talking about the monster season that Austin is having. Through six games he has 48 receptions for 837 yards and eight touchdowns. He leads the country in receiving yards and is fourth in receptions and touchdowns. He has scored a touchdown in five of six games, has gone over 100 yards in five straight has at least five receptions in every game this season. Need to know more? Lock him in.

Jalen Tolbert (South Alabama) Opp GSU ($7.5K)

The alpha on the Jaguars offense leads the team with a 30% target share for 544 yards but only one touchdown (scored last week). Has had at least seven targets in every game and now is facing the worst pass defense in the country- Georgia Southern. May be hard to get Tolbert in cash lineups with Austin but is a solid GPP play as he could go off for a huge score tonight.

Khaleb Hood (Georgia Southern) @SALA $4.4K

A WR1 at a value price. Averages nearly eight targets a game but only around 35 yards. Hood has a massive target share of 35.7% and since they should be playing catch up against South Alabama could end up as a nice play tonight. Doesn’t hurt that he gets some work on the ground coming off a rushing score last weekend and has nine carries on season.

Also Consider:

Jalen Wayne (South Alabama) Opp GSU ($4K) The WR2 on a team facing the worst pass defense in the nation. 20 of his 30 targets have come the last three weeks.

Sean Dykes (Memphis) Opp Navy ($5.6K) The tight end is the clear #2 behind Austin. The two account for 53% of the teams target share and 12 of the team’s 14 passing touchdowns. Javin Ivory ($4.7K) is the WR2 putting himself in also in play for the highest scoring team of the night.

Cade Sutherland (South Alabama) Opp GSU ($3.3K)

In play in the slot if Caullin Lacy (questionable) is out. Has only seven receptions (on seven targes) on season but game theory would make Sutherland a GPP punt. If Lacy is active, he is also in play as a short yardage receiver.
