TOP GUARDS

Paul Scruggs (Xavier) Opp @VT (8.9K FK/8.3K FD)

Xavier cannot win when Scruggs has a bad night. He shot 1-for14 from the floor and turned the ball over five times during Wednesday’s loss to Iowa State- an offensive efficiency of 31. With a 27.6% usage and 20% shot rate Scruggs is always in play but more GPP tonight especially against a tough Virginia Tech defense.

Alondes Williams (Wake Forest) Opp ORST ($7.0K DK)

Oklahoma transfer is already comfortable in his new digs. Leads the team in usage (25.9%), scoring (19.4) and assists (3.8). Williams has scored double digits in every game played so far and should see 30+ minutes tonight in the slates second highest game total against a struggling Oregon State team.

Other Top Guards to Consider:

Colby Jones (XAV) $8.4 DK/7.5 FD  Double-double machine to start season

Julian Strawther (GONZ) $7.3 DK/5.8 FD

Xavier Pinson (LSU) $6.7 DK/5.9 FD

TOP VALUE GUARDS

Tyrese Hunter (Iowa State) Opp MEM ($5.2K DK/6.2K FD)

Freshman floor general Hunter and Izaiah Brockington are Iowa’s offense and the only two in play against a strong Memphis defense. Hunter is still way too cheap at $5.2K even in a tough matchup. He has scored in double digits in every game but one so far while leading the team with a 28.5% usage rate and 33.0 DKFP average.

Dashawn Davis (Oregon State) Opp @WAKE ($5.0K DK)

Davis broke into the starting lineup last game against Princeton and is going to make it very hard for Gianni Hunt to get his job back. He put up his second straight double-digit performance with 16 points and filled the stat sheet with peripherals – four rebounds, five assists and two steals. Davis leads the team with a 24.6% usage rate and along with a 27% shot rate and 36% assist rate he is a top value on the board

Tyson Etienne (Wichita State) Opp @MIZZ ($4.7K DK)

DK misprice here. After missing some time with illness Etienne has returned and taken back his spot as go-to scorer with a 31% shot rate. He scored 15 of WSU’s 19 points in the final seven minutes of the last game against UNLV and is again leading the team in scoring and assists. Three other Shockers are more expensive than Etienne making him a core play in cash games.

Sam Sessoms (Penn State) Opp LSU ($4.4K DK/7.3 FD)

Another DK misprice as Sessoms, like Etienne at Wichita State, is the go-to scorer for the Nittany Lions. He is the on-court leader and recently set a personal mark with a career high 26 points against St. Francis. This is a player with a 29.2% usage rate, 19.2 point per game average and 32.2 DKFP and he’ $4.4K? Lock Sessoms in as another cash core play.

Other Value Guards to Consider:

Eric Gaines (LSU) $3.3K DK/5.6 FD  Averaging 26.9 DKFP

Javon Pickett (MIZZ) $3.8K

Down Odom (XAV) $4.0K DK/3.9 FD

TOP FORWARDS

Drew Timme (Gonzaga) Opp @ DUKE ($8.2K DK.8.2 FD)

Timme is the top overall play of the slate as his price is still too low at $8.2K on both sites. Timme is the usage (29.3%) and scoring leader (18.7 PPG) on the best team in the country. Need I say more?

Darius Days (LSU) Opp @PSU ($8.1K DK/7.7 FD)

It’s now Days team and he should get plenty of minutes tonight against Penn State. Coming off a SEC Player of the Week honor where he averaged 21.8 points and 58.5% shooting both overall and from the arc (17-of-29). He had a 14-10 double double in only 21 minutes against McNeese State and is a top play at forward tonight.

Kobe Brown (Missouri) Opp WICH ($6.5K DK)

Brown has been Mizzou’s top scoring threat this season averaging 16.0 points and 7.2 rebounds along with a 24.7% usage rate. No other Missouri player is averaging double digit in scoring and with the peripheral upside Brown is one of the better mid-priced pays on the slate.

Other Top Forwards to Consider:

Chet Holmgren (GONZ) $9.2K DK/8.5 FD

Paolo Banchero (DUKE) $8.5K DK/8.6 FD

Jalen Duren (MEM) $8.6K/8.4 FD

Justyn Mutts (VT) $7.4K DK/6.3 FD

TOP FORWARD VALUES

Seth Lundy (Penn State) Opp LSU ($5.2K DK/$6.9K FD)

Penn State runs a tight rotation, and all starters are playing 30 minutes or more. Lundy is the Nittany Lions second highest scorer at 17.8 points per game and with a 19% shot rate he is in play as a GPP value tonight.

DeAndre Williams (Memphis) Opp ISU ($4.5K DK/$6.1K FD)

If you watched Williams play against Virginia Tech on Wednesday night you know that he is back and leaves it all on the court. Problem is that he is only playing 20-24 minutes but when he is on the court, he is seeing elite usage and still averaging double digit scoring (10.6 PPG). Cheap enough to be considered in cash tonight,

Other Forward Values to Consider:

Jack Nunge (Xavier) $5.1 DK

Mwani Wilkinson (LSU) $3.1K DK/5.4 FD

Tristan Enaruna G/F (ISU) $3.0K DK/4.1 FD

Myles Dread G/F (PSU) $3.7K DK/4.2 FD
