The Carolina Hurricanes have a chance to close their series out tonight on the road against the New York Rangers. No team in this series has yet to win a game on the road, but could we see that change tonight?  You can build daily fantasy hockey lineups on DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo Fantasy for Saturday, May 28th NHL playoffs action. Let's now take a closer look at the daily fantasy hockey top plays for tonight's NHL DFS Showdown slate

Goals have been hard to come by in this series and tonight should be no different. Carolina has been unbeatable on home ice, but that success hasn’t travelled with them to New York. The home team has won each game, and barring a miracle, that trend should continue in Game 6.

The Captain spot is the most part of a Showdown lineup. We need to get this right if we want any chance of cashing. I normally don’t want anything to do with goalies on a Showdown slate, but I’ll gladly break my rule for tonight. Igor Shesterkin wasn’t very good in the first round, but he’s been nothing short of fantastic in this series. He’s given up eight goals in five games, and while he is the most expensive player on the slate, that shouldn’t stop him from hitting value. Carolina is a different team on the road and it wouldn’t shock me if they don’t score a goal tonight.

If you want to stick with a skater for your Captain spot, Chris Kreider is the best option. He has a tendency of not shooting the puck much, but on home ice, he’s a much better player and is always a threat to score.

For the rest of the Rangers team, Frank Vatrano and Andrew Copp and two affordable players that can certainly offer some value. If you want to look at a couple of defencemen, Ryan Lindgren and Adam Fox are the two best options to consider. Fox is always a threat to do some offensively, while Lindgren has the upside of blocking shots. He does more of that on the road, but if Carolina decided to play a decent road game, Lindgren has a really good shot at hitting value. His $5400 price tag is also very appealing.

On the Carolina side, Seth Jarvis and Andrei Svechnikov are the only two forwards worth considering. They are both priced fairly well on DraftKings and are playing in the top six. Jarvis at $5800 is by far the best bang for your buck if you want some exposure to Carolina’s top line.

On the back end, Tony DeAngelo and Brett Pesce are the two players I would focus my attention on. DeAngelo is the best offensive-defencemen, so if anyone has a chance of finding the scoresheet, it’s him. Pesce can block shots, and he’s been able to do it on the road in this series. You spend up for someone like Jaccob Slavin or even Brady Skjei, but Pesce at $5600 is just good value.
