For now, the dust has settled on the trade front, so setting your lineup shouldn’t be as chaotic as it had been in recent days. We have a nice little slate for us this evening, so be sure to know which games and players are on the main slate compared to the early slate for today’s action. Use the other content here at Fantasy Alarm so that the early slate can pay your entries for the evening slate! I include one, maybe two, arms below that you can use tonight, as well as a couple value bats that can be used for cash, GPP, or both!

Let’s start the weekend right and get after it this evening! Alas, let’s jump in and take a look at some value arms and value bats for tonight’s main slate.

All Sites

Abraham Toro, 3B SEA ($2,500 FD/$3,200 DK/$13 Yahoo) - Texas’ Taylor Hearn has allowed a .267 average adn .369 wOBA to right-handed hitters, and Toro has been red-hot since being traded from the Astros. In three games with Seattle, Toro is 5-for-10 with two home runs, four RBI, four runs scored and one stolen base. For the 2021 season as a whole, he’s hitting .360 with an .829 OPS versus southpaws, compared to a .202 average and .744 OPS against righties.

Kyle Hendricks, SP CHC ($7,600 FD/$8,500 DK/$34 Yahoo) - Washington had a fire sale and outside of Juan Soto and Josh Bell, this lineup is uninspiring. Hendricks has a 3.34 ERA in 10 road starts this year, and he hasn’t lost a start since May 9th, against the Pirates of all teams! Since June 1st, Hendricks has a 3.18 ERA and a perfect 7-0 record. He lost a good chunk of his offense, and defense, but to be fair, so did Washington. This could be a fun spring training game!

Yahoo!

Tyler O’Neill, OF STL ($12) - O’Neill is pretty pricey on other sites, but not Yahoo! Bailey Ober has been more prone to left-handed hitters at this point, but O’Neill has 16 home runs in just 240 at-bats against righties this year and he has a .343 wOBA at his home park. He’s hit safely in seven of his last eight home games, and he’s a righty killer. He’s too cheap to not play on Yahoo this evening.

Cody Bellinger, 1B/OF LAD ($8 Yahoo) - Bellinger is 3-for-9 with two home runs in his career against Merrill Kelly, and the Arizona righty has been hard on lefties this year, but for a measly eight dollars, I’ll take a shot on Bellinger’s history against Kelly. In his last seven games, he has a solid 16.7 percent barrel rate, and an exit velocity that’s about two miles per hour higher than his season average. Bellinger can only be played in GPPs right now, but if there were a day to hit a home run or provide a solid return on investment on eight dollars, it’s today!

FanDuel

Jonathan India, 2B/3B CIN ($3,100) - India isn’t just currently on a hot streak (.333 average over last 30 at-bats), but he’s in the midst of an extended hot streak! Over his last 88 at-bats, he’s hitting .330 with a 1.019 OPS. He just homered twice last night, and he’s hit safely in 11 of his last 13 contests. Should we be scared of Rich Hill today? Nope. India is hitting .375 with a .992 OPS against lefties this year. I love India as a focal point of a Cincinnati stack this evening.

J.P. Crawford, SS SEA ($2,500) - Crawford is 4-for-6 with a home run against Texas’ Taylor Hearn and the Seattle shortstop has a .297 batting average on the road this season. Crawford has had a rather cold July, but things are slowly picking back up, as he’s hitting .259 over his last 27 at-bats. He’s enjoyed facing Texas this year, as he’s hitting .289 with a .764 OPS against the Rangers.

DraftKings

Harrison Bader, OF STL ($2,700) - Much like O’Neill, you typically want lefties against Bailey Ober, but I’m fine with Bader and O’Neill in my lineups. Over the last two weeks, Bader is hitting .435 with a 1.210 OPS, and against righties in 2021, he’s hitting .301 with an .892 OPS. At this price, you can’t avoid Bader today.

Tyrone Taylor, OF MIL ($2,600) - Taylor’s .333 average and .976 OPS against lefties is far more impressive than his .231 average and .765 OPS against right-handed pitchers. He’s also hitting .316 on the road this year with a .900 OPS, and over his last five games, he has four multi-hit performances! It’s not an easy matchup, but Taylor is seeing a beach ball at the moment, and he has a good run of success against southpaws.

Joe Ross, SP WAS ($8,100 DK) - Quick throw in here! If he gets the start today, you could look to Ross over Hendricks as your preferred SP in this contest. The Chicago lineup is in shambles after trading nearly everyone away and since the beginning of June, Ross has allowed just 10 earned runs in 44 innings of work, posting an impressive 48:8 K/BB ratio. He’s been damn good of late.
