We got some great value plays on the board today like Marvin Jones, Jalen Hurts, Devonta Smith, and oh… Wrong sport. How about some baseball value plays! Don’t worry, I got those, too! We have a nice slate for this Sunday afternoon, and below, you’ll find two solid value arms you can trust today, and a plethora of bats to fortify your lineup and get into the money! What are we waiting for!?

Let’s check out the best value bats and arms for Sunday’s main slate.

All Sites

Randal Grichuk, OF TOR ($2,600 FD/$3,200 DK/$7 Yahoo) - Baltimore’s Zac Lowther has been tougher on righties compared to lefties, but what I’m trusting here is the fact that Grichuk’s eyes light up when he sees that Baltimore orange. He’s hitting .289 with an .842 OPS against Baltimore pitching this year, but when he’s faced Baltimore at Camden Yards, those marks jump to a .320 batting average and .894 OPS! The veteran outfielder has a .438 slugging percentage against lefties this year, and he’s an affordable part of any Toronto stack this afternoon.

Eric Lauer, SP MIL ($8,100 FD/$8,400 DK/$38 Yahoo) - Lauer has a 2.79 ERA on the road this season and he has an incredible 2.33 ERA over his last 27 innings of work. If you look at just his last two starts, he has a 0.64 ERA! He’s gone at least seven innings in each of his last two starts, and over the past two weeks, the Cleveland offense has the fifth-highest strikeout rate (25.7%) and sixth-lowest wOBA (.289).

Yahoo!

Pedro Severino, C BAL ($9) - Severino is hitting .267 with a .775 OPS against southpaws this year, and he does have a .733 OPS at home in 2021. Over the last week, he’s hitting .316 with a .749 OPS, and the Baltimore backstop has an .833 OPS against Toronto this season. He’s hit safely in five of his last six games, and is a very affordable option behind the dish. UPDATE: Severino is getting the day off.

Byron Buxton, OF MIN ($12) - You can get Buxton’s immense upside for just $12 on Yahoo this afternoon. That’s crazy! He’s hitting .304 with a .385 wOBA in 2021 against southpaws, while Kansas City’s Kris Bubic has allowed a .268 batting average to opposing right-handed hitters. Buxton may be hitting just .241 over the past week, but he does have an .828 OPS during that span and he’s hit safely in four of his last six contests. Shoot for the moon with Buxton this afternoon.

DraftKings

Andrew Benintendi, OF KC ($3,200) - Minnesota’s Bailey Ober has allowed a .291 batting average and .363 wOBA to left-handed hitters this year, and Benintendi is scorching hot of late. Over the last week, he’s hitting .341 with a 1.065 OPS, and he’s sporting a .413 batting average and 1.255 OPS against Minnesota pitching in 2021. He’s incredibly affordable on DraftKings, and he finds himself in a good matchup in the middle of a four-game hit streak.

Patrick Corbin, SP WSH ($6,400) - This one scares me, but the value is there for your SP2 on DraftKings today. Corbin has been very bad this year, but in his lone start against Pittsburgh this season, he fired 8.1 innings of one-run ball with seven strikeouts. He did allow eight hits, but he avoided damage, which was key. Pittsburgh’s offense has been league average of late, but for the 2021 season as a whole, they have the second-lowest OPS in all of baseball against southpaws. I’ll hold my breath and hope for the best with Corbin as my SP2 today on DraftKings.

FanDuel

Alejandro Kirk, C TOR ($2,700) - Much like Grichuk, despite being solid against righties, I’m looking at Kirk due to his excellence against southpaws in 2021. Kirk has a .326 batting average and 1.038 OPS in 46 at-bats against left-handers this year, and if you look at the last week, Kirk has been white hot overall, hitting .364 with a 1.416 OPS across 22 at-bats. During that span, he has four home runs, seven RBI, six runs scored and more walks (4) than strikeouts (3). UPDATE: Kirk is not starting for Toronto.

Miguel Rojas, SS MIA ($2,800) - The Miami shortstop is 5-for-15 in his career against Max Fried, and in 2021 against lefties, he’s hitting .331 with a .910 OPS! While Fried has been good at home this year, and of late, he does have a 7.80 ERA in three starts against Miami in 2021. I like Rojas in GPPs, perhaps as a standalone play from this Miami offense.
