A loaded slate tonight screams one thing: VALUE! Where’s the value at? Everywhere! There’s plenty of value on the board tonight, and will allow you to fit in whatever slugger(s) or ace(s) you want in your lineups this evening. Keep on reading to find my favorite value bats and arms for FanDuel, DraftKings and Yahoo!

All Sites

Kyle Gibson, SP PHI ($8,600 FD/$7,900 DK/$36 Yahoo) - Gibson has been hit around a bit of late, but the strikeouts have been there, which is encouraging. The seven earned runs over his last 11.2 innings is far from ideal, but we’ll take the 16:1 K/BB ratio. The veteran right-hander was excellent in an earlier start against Pittsburgh, and over the last two weeks, Pittsburgh’s .701 team OPS and .305 wOBA rank in the bottom-third of the MLB.

Charlie Culberson, SS/OF TEX ($2,100 FD/$3,100 DK/$9 Yahoo) - Baltimore’s Alexander Wells has been abused by right-handed hitters this season. How bad has it been? Well, how about a .354 batting average against, OPS north of 1.000 and a .449 wOBA? Yeah, that bad. Culberson is struggling of late, sure, but he’s crushed left-handers this season at a .341 clip with a .921 OPS.

Yahoo

Carlos Correa, SS HOU ($16) - Correa has had quite the track record against Oakland’s Frankie Montas, going 6-for-19 with two home runs and .435 wOBA against him for his career. The Houston shortstop has hit .292 with an .843 OPS on the road this season, and so far in September, he’s been great, posting a .512 slugging percentage across 82 at-bats.

Max Schrock, 2B CIN ($7) - Washington’s Paolo Espino has allowed a .278 batting average to lefties, compared to just a .223 batting average to right-handers. Well, all Schrock has done is Schrock righties, to the tune of a .322 batting average and .855 OPS. Despite hitting in an offensively-skewed park, he’s been better on the road in 2021, but that’s not scaring me away at this price point.

DraftKings

Jesús Sánchez, OF MIA ($3,000) - Sanchez has hit safely in three of his last four contests, and he’s been better on the road for Miami this year, hitting .272 with a .914 OPS. The Miami outfielder has a .925 OPS in the month of September, and he has six at-bats and 14 RBI over the last two-plus weeks!

Bryan De La Cruz, OF MIA ($2,800) - De La Cruz is struggling a bit of late, but he has an .869 OPS on the road in 2021, and is hitting both lefties and righties north .300! If you’re a day/night splits kind of guy or gal, De La Cruz has a .336 average and .847 OPS in night games, compared to a .237 average and .841 OPS in non-night affairs.

FanDuel

LaMonte Wade Jr., OF SFG ($3,300) - Playing at Coors Field and only a hair over $3,000 instantly makes you appealing in my eyes. Through eight at-bats in the game’s best offensive park this season, Wade has a 1.045 OPS, and he’s sporting a .600 slugging percentage against Colorado pitching in 2021. Peter Lambert will pitch tonight for Colorado, and as a righty, he won’t enjoy seeing Wade in the batter’s box, as the San Francisco slugger has a .288 batting average and .926 OPS against righties in 2021.

Nicky Lopez, 2B/SS KC ($2,900) - Criticize Lopez for his lack of upside, but you can’t argue with the results of late. He’s hitting .352 in the month of September with an .843 OPS, despite hitting just one home run. He does have two stolen bases, too, but the big thing with Lopez is that he’s been so damn consistent of late. He’s hit safely in 17 of his last 18 games, and in 18 of 21 September games! If you don’t fancy Lopez this evening, you can pivot to Seattle’s J.P. Crawford.
