The A-Game 200 from Dover International Speedway will go green around 1:30pm ET on Saturday so I’m aiming to deliver the Example Lineups a bit earlier than normal to help with your own lineup construction. Hopefully the extra info regarding the difficulty in passing, and at least half the field finishing a lap down, will give you an idea of how to approach today’s race. Brandon Jones is on the pole and we’ve seen the polesitter have the ability to collect dominator points and still finish in the top ten which can offset the negative PD. But Joe Gibbs Racing looks to be very fast this weekend and JRM has speed as well with all four of their drivers starting in the first four rows.

As always, these lineups are meant to give you an idea of how to approach today’s race for your Cash games and GPP tournaments. These are not mean to be plugged and played.

DraftKings Cash Game Example Lineup

  1. John Hunter Nemechek
  2. Daniel Hemric
    1. Ty Gibbs (Pivot)
  3. Landon Cassill
    1. Mason Massey (Pivot)
  4. Ryan Sieg
  5. Brandon Brown
  6. Parker Retzlaff

So the original build (the non-pivots) is potentially a bit chalky. I’d say that one thing I don’t like about it is the lack of a second dominator. John Hunter Nemecheck is really the only candidate to lead laps and I have a feeling we can’t solely rely on PD and one dominator in Cash Games today. Remember, we’re still looking to get word on Ryan Sieg’s axle status but as of Saturday morning I’m operating as if things will be fine for him.

The lineup with pivots is probably a bit more risky since you’re paying up for two dominators and I know Mason Massey didn’t make the Playbook, but he’s run pretty well in the DGM equipment, and as long as he moves up and flirts with a top 25 finish he could be fine for Cash games.

Draftkings GPP Example Lineup

  1. John Hunter Nemechek
  2. Brandon Jones
    1. Josh Berry (Pivot)
  3. Daniel Hemric
  4. Austin Hill
    1. Landon Cassill (Pivot)
  5. Mason Massey
    1. Parker Retzlaff (Pivot)
  6. Ryan Ellis

As you can see, I really like JHN this week. He’s looked phenomenal behind the wheel of the 18-car and the speed in practice has me comfortable using him in Cash and GPP’s. I wanted to use the GPP Example Builds to give you an idea of how you could approach lineup construction with the polesitter, Brandon Jones. I like pairing him with a JGR teammate, but also don’t hate pairing him with a JRM driver which is done in the pivot to Josh Berry who won’t carry as much ownership as Gragson or Allgaier. I think if you really want to get contrarian you can consider Sam Mayer, but we did see a spike in the price tag with Mayer. Mayer’s a great short track racer, but you’ll need to get some dominator points out of him if we’re going to pay a little more for him. But again, Mayer and Berry might be contrarian pivots.
