H2H Data:

  • These rosters have never faced each other.

Prediction/Narrative: BIG wins 2-0.

BIG are undefeated at this event, and their most recent win came against the number one ranked team in the world, FaZe. Eternal Fire do have a higher Team Rating than BIG at Roobet Cup 2022, but Eternal Fire opened the event with a loss, and their two wins came against Imperial & MOUZ - two teams that haven't proven they can consistently win against top competition. BIG are happy to have Krimbo back in the lineup after he missed time with COVID, and we have already seen him having a top frag performance with 74 kills and a 1.27 Rating across three maps against Entropiq. Since adding Krimbo to the lineup, BIG have a 32-20 W/L record across 52 maps, and they have at least a 57.1% win rate on Ancient, Nuke, Mirage, Dust2, and Overpass during that time. BIG have an 8-3 W/L record across 11 maps played on Dust2 and their 5v4 and 4v5 conversion rates have been elite at 81.3% and 32.9%, respectively. Eternal Fire have lost four times in a row on Dust2 against top 30 teams, and I'd certainly expect BIG to win on that map. Eternal Fire's map pick is less clear. Their most played map with this lineup in the past month is Nuke, but they picked it on Sunday against MOUZ and lost 2-16. Overpass could be another option, but BIG actually have their highest win rate on that map. Overall, I think BIG have at least one map in the bag with Dust2, and I'd favor them on any other map that is played. XANTARES has been excellent at this event, and he is playing against his former team, so you could look for a ‘revenge narrative’ there on the Eternal Fire side, but I think him and his team will struggle here. I expect a sweep for the Germans in the spot.
