This is an online best-of-three series for the Grand Final of Roobet Cup 2022

FaZe - Rating at event: broky 1.25 | Twistzz 1.18 | ropz 1.12 | rain 1.03 | karrigan 0.97

FaZe - Rating past three months: broky 1.15 | ropz 1.13| Twistzz 1.11 | rain 1.10 | karrigan 0.96

BIG - Rating at event: syrsoN 1.21 | Krimbo 1.09 | tabseN 1.05 | tiziaN 1.04 | k1to 1.02

BIG - Rating past three months: syrsoN 1.14 | k1to 1.13 | tabseN 1.07 | Krimbo 1.04 | faveN 1.04

H2H Data:

These rosters have never faced each other since k1to is standing in for faveN. BIG has won the last two meetings between these teams, including last week at this event in a 2-1 victory

(16-14 Dust2 / 11-16 Nuke / 16-12 Overpass). Rain led the server with 71 kills, and he tied syrsoN with a 1.16 Rating across three maps.

Prediction/Narrative: BIG wins 2-1.
Per faveN's Twitter account, he is still not feeling well and k1to will be standing in for the Grand Final. BIG are lucky to have a stand-in like k1to who has plenty of experience within the main roster, and the team has looked good at this event with him as a stand-in so far. BIG have a 4-1 W/L record with k1to standing in for faveN at Roobet Cup 2022, and they even managed to sweep Cloud9 on Wednesday. Roobet Cup is a new event this year, and it is certainly not the biggest event on most teams calendar. But for a team like BIG, this could be one of their only chances to win a tournament for the rest of the year, and they will be going all out here, while a team like FaZe is likely more concerned with winning the upcoming Major or winning the Intel Grand Slam. BIG have beaten FaZe in a best-of-three twice in a row in the past two months, and I don't think having k1to as a stand-in makes too much of a difference here. BIG have a 7-4 W/L record across 11 maps played on Dust2 in the past three months, and they have an elite 80.7% 5v4 conversion rate and 31.4% 4v5 conversion rate during that time. The Germans just beat Cloud9 16-9 on that map with k1to standing in, and I think they will beat FaZe on that map again like they did last week. From there, FaZe have a slight advantage in the rest of the map pool, but I think this can be a competitive series, and if BIG can win their map pick of Dust2 then the series is wide open. BIG is the priority for me here since I see them as a live underdog and they are priced at a discount at Draftkings.
