We have an NHL DFS showdown slate for today’s 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs Game 2 matchup in the Western Conference Finals. It's Cale Makar and the Colorado Avalanche going up against Leon Draisaitl and the Edmonton Oilers in what should be a high-scoring affair. As you build those daily fantasy hockey lineups, it's important to know how Game 1 ended up. The Avalanche took the first game of the series, 8-6, in an exciting contest with plenty of goals. If tonight's matchup is anything close to that, it should make NHL DFS lineups and contests very entertaining. Edmonton Oilers at Colorado Avalanche

The Captains

We have some solid options on both teams for the captain spot.

If we continue to see wide-open play in this series there will be no slowing down Connor McDavid who had a goal and two assists in game one.

I suppose you could call two assists a quiet game for Leon Draisaitl, but he added four shots and with how game one was played he will end up scoring.

We pretty much got what we expected from Nathan MacKinnon in game one, with a goal, and an assist to go along with four shots.

Cale Makar was a beast in game one. He had a goal, two assists, two shots, and four blocked shots. The wide-open style of the game certainly favors his play style and that will make him a must-play, especially if he is going to block shots.

The Rest

We got a nice effort from Mikko Rantanen as he scored his first non-empty net goal of the playoffs, and added an assist and five shots on goal. He should remain a strong play.

The two assists from Devon Toews made up for the shots and blocked shots we didn’t get, but we shouldn’t be surprised if that part of his game shows up more today.

The nine shots we got from Nazem Kadri were a bit of a surprise in game one, but the points he provided were not. He should be considered for your lineups tonight.

Add another goal for Zach Hyman, and five shots for Hyman who continues to be a force in these playoffs.

Evander Kane added another goal to his playoff leading total on Tuesday, and he could very well do so again tonight

Cody Ceci has been providing value in the David Savard sense, where he isn’t giving you any offense, but he keeps blocking a high volume of shots, so at his price, he is going to help you get other stars into your lineup, while still giving you value.

We continue to get good value from Evan Bouchard who had an assist, three shots, and two blocked shots in game one.
