In Saturday’s EPL DFS Playbook we noted that most of the goalkeepers had favorable matchups. As one might expect, the opposite is true for Sunday’s slate. When that is the case, I usually try to save as much money as possible at the position. At the same time, we can get some of the top goalkeepers at a discount due to some tough matchups, which certainly makes them intriguing.

With that in mind, there are a lot of attackers who could be worth paying up for in this slate. In addition to keepers, I recommend trying to pay as little as possible on defenders, with the aim of having as much to spend as possible on forwards and midfielders.

Vicente GuaitaCRYLEI46006.37910.25
Most of the good goalkeeper matchups were in Saturday's slate, so beggars cannot be choosers. Leicester doesn't typically surrender a lot of saves, but they only have seven goals in six games. Crystal Palace has only allowed one goal at home this season, with at least three saves in two of those games. Guaita is your best bet for a cheap keeper, especially for GPPs.
Kasper SchmeichelLEICRY50006.641010.33
Among the teams in Sunday's slate, only Tottenham has scored less than Crystal Palace this season, and no team has been shut out more. I'm not sure any of these keepers is a great bet to keep a clean sheet, but if I had to pick one, it would be Schmeichel, even on the road.
EdersonMCILIV  1015.08
This is likely as cheap as he will be all season, and City has only conceded one goal through six games. Since their opening-day loss to Tottenham, City has shut out some top sides including Leicester and Chelsea on the road. They could do it again Sunday, though I wouldn't want to count on it.

Said BenrahmaWHUBRE880016.821922.43
Benrahma is much more affordable than Michail Antonio and you could argue he is just as safe, especially on DraftKings.
Michail AntonioWHUBRE1070025.882338.88
Upgrading to Antonio from Benrahma is difficult to afford, but I think it is worth it if you are able. Antonio has 11 chances created in five games, so he is a bit safer on FanDuel than we might otherwise think. Brentford's defense hasn't been terrible this season, but it is hard to bet against Antonio at home.
Wilfried ZahaCRYLEI780012.261713.18
Zaha has scored in two of his last three games, and if you are playing him for DFS, that is what you are looking for. Zaha scored in both games against Leicester last season and he has six goals and an assist in his last seven games against them. Zaha looks like a nice value on FanDuel and I wouldn't mind paying for him on DraftKings as well.
Ivan ToneyBREWHU760012.061717.55
This shouldn't be a bad matchup for Brentford, but I don't really trust anyone else on this team. Toney has seven chances created, two assists and one goal in his last three games. He is a a better cash play on FanDuel but I think Toney is playable in all formats.
Jarrod BowenWHUBRE810011.821614.80
Bowen has zero goals and one assist through six games, and I have long since given up on expecting attacking returns. That being said, this slate is light on midfielders who hit a lot of crosses, and that makes Bowen feel essential for DK cash games.

Son Heung-MinTOTAVL1120016.672220.72
He has topped 22 DK fantasy points in three of his five games this season, and the only question about Son is if we can trust him for cash. We can forgive his poor game against Chelsea, but he is awfully expensive for someone who managed just 6.3 fantasy points against Wolves. Even so, this should be a better matchup than that game, and I'm paying up for Son if I can.
Youri TielemansLEICRY740013.261616.85
He has 10 crosses, 10 shots and seven chances created in his last two games. He has been a bit up-and-down, but I think we are getting pretty nice value. You could talk me into replacing him with Ademola Lookman or Marc Albrighton if they start, but even if that is the case, Tielemans would be a solid play.
James MilnerLIVMCI  1314.70
Good luck finding cheap attackers in this slate. Milner has at least 12 fantasy points in both his games this season, and if he starts at right back, I think he could keep that going. I like his floor for cash lineups but his place on penalties makes him a decent GPP play as well. The only problem i s if you put him in your lineup and he doesn't start, it will be awfully difficult to replace him.
Jack GrealishMCILIV  1819.43
Grealish has quietly been super consistent with City, scoring at least 12.9 fantasy points in all six games. He only has one goal and one assist on the season, and he may not add to those totals against Liverpool, but he is by far the safest City attacker.
Conor GallagherCRYLEI840016.341821.06
He isn't quite as safe as Jarrod Bowen, and I don't like his matchup as much, but Gallagher's ceiling is much higher. There are probably better values on FanDuel, but he looks like a nice DraftKings play.

John McGinnAVLTOT54009.941313.40
McGinn has finished four games this season, and he has at least 9.6 DK fantasy points in all four. He is risky on FanDuel because the chances created have come and gone, but he looks like a nice budget midfielder on both sites.
Jacob RamseyAVLTOT38006.4887.82
It is rare to find a safe DraftKings play who is so cheap. Ramsey has three crosses in three consecutive games, with five shots and three chances created in that span. Douglas Luiz has been better lately, but Ramsey is cheaper and safer.
Defenders
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Japhet TangangaTOTAVL36004.48811.48
I wouldn't go so far as to call him safe, but he has seven crosses in his last three games, and this should be a pretty favorable matchup at home against Aston Villa. He's cheap enough that I would consider him for cash games, but he can have a pretty high ceiling as well, as he showed against Watford.
Sergio ReguilonTOTAVL52009.011315.12
He is getting forward much more consistently this season than he did under Jose Mourinho, and he assisted on the only goal at Arsenal last week. He is much safer than Japhet Tanganga, though that safety comes at a price.
Matthew CashAVLTOT46009.521014.67
I don't understand why he is so cheap on DraftKings when the only defender on that slate who has averaged more fantasy points is Aaron Cresswell. On the road against Tottenham looks like a scary matchup, but Tottenham has allowed the most crosses in the league this season and only six teams have conceded more goals.
Ben JohnsonWHUBRE47000.7260.00
This is a risky play, especially since I expected him to be cheaper. Johnson did not have any crosses against Rapid Wien in the Europa League Thursday, so we probably shouldn't trust him if he starts. That being said, he is $800 cheaper than Vladimir Coufal, who he could replace in the starting lineup. Based on that and the matchup, he is worth a shot on DraftKings.
Joel WardCRYLEI34004.891012.82
Only four teams have allowed more crosses than Leicester this season. Joel Ward had five crosses against Tottenham and this could be another sneaky good matchup.

Jannik VestergaardLEICRY25002.5489.10
Vestergaard has double-digit FD fantasy points in all three starts this season. No team has allowed more tackles+interceptions than Crystal Palace.
Eric DierTOTAVL29002.311012.97
Dier has played 90 minutes in five games, with at least 15.4 FD fantasy points in four of those. Only two teams have allowed more clearances than Aston Villa, and Dier is averaging 4.20 clearances per start.
