Of the eight teams on Saturday’s EPL DFS slate (on FanDuel), six have allowed at least 30 goals. In DK’s three-game slate, we have five of six. That gives us a couple of pretty obvious targets for our goalkeepers but, more importantly, it should lead to a fairly high-scoring slate. Given the fickle nature of goal scoring, I tend to favor safer players - especially in attack. If we do get a bunch of goals in these games, you will probably wish you had taken a few more chances on high-upside attackers.
Goalkeepers
Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG
Ederson | MCI | SOU | 14 | 14.83
He is by far the best bet for a win and a clean sheet, and this is a great slate to pay up for him. City has five more clean sheets than any other team in the slate.
Jose Sa | WOL | BRE | 4900 | 10.43 | 10 | 15.48
Sa has been excellent of late, with at least 13.7 DK fantasy points in four of his last five games. Only three teams have allowed more clean sheets than Brentford this season, and only eight have allowe more goals. Sa should be safe for some saves with very few goals, and he has a decent chance at a clean sheet as well.
Jonas Lossl | BRE | WOL | 4600 | -1.76 | 9 | -1.50
I would like it better if Alvaro Fernandez returned to the starting lineup, but I don't blame Lossl for conceding three goals in his only start of the season against Manchester United. More importantly, Wolverhampton has scored the second-fewest goals per game while getting shut out in half of their starts. They don't concede many goals, but this is still a very nice price for such a great matchup at home.
Lukasz Fabianski | WHU | MUN | 4200 | 7.74 | 7 | 11.91
Manchester United is a hot mess, and I think Fabianski has a much better chance at a win than his price suggests. I'm not arguing this is a good matchup on the road, but if Ronaldo is out, I will be awfully tempted to roll the dice here and pay up elsewhere. Not for nothing, but Fabianski made eight saves and conceded just two goals in his first matchup against United this season. |
Forwards
Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG
Michail Antonio | WHU | MUN | 7800 | 13.09 | 18 | 18.60
He is awfully cheap for someone who has at least 11.5 DK fantasy points in four of his last five games. He will always be better for tournaments, but I am not scared of this matchup. United is ninth in goals allowed per 90 minutes, and Antonio is certainly capable of scoring a goal or creating a few chances.
Chris Wood | NEW | LEE | 4600 | 5.35 | 15 | 8.34
I still don't trust Chris Wood, but he is exceptionally cheap for someone who is +185 to score a goal. Only two teams have conceded more goals than Leeds this season, and Wood is the best cheap forward option on the slate, especially for GPPs.
Anthony Elanga | MUN | WHU | 6400 | 5.82 | 11 | 8.30
In two starts this season, Elanga scored 8.4 and 13.7 DK fantasy points. He looks like a nice value on both sites, even if he is safer on DK. |
Midfielders
Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
Bruno Fernandes | MUN | WHU | 8700 | 15.39 | 19 | 22.23 |
In four games without Cristiano Ronaldo this season, Bruno Fernandes is averaging 22.3 DK fantasy points and 35.7 FD fantasy points. There may be safer options on the slate but he looks like a great value if Ronaldo misses.
Pablo Fornals | WHU | MUN | 6600 | 9.5 | 15 | 14.30 |
Fornals is averaging 10.7 DK fantasy points in his last 10 starts. He isn't quite as safe on FD, but he is a best combination of safety, value and goal-scoring upside on West Ham.
Ryan Fraser | NEW | LEE | 5100 | 4.48 | 12 | 4.78 |
Fraser had six crosses and three chances created against Watford last week, and this looks like another great matchup for him. I will look to get him in my lineups no matter what, but he is nearly a must-play if Matt Ritchie is out again.
Daniel Podence | WOL | BRE | 6800 | 5.52 | 14 | 7.93 |
Podence was somewhat disappointing last week, having scored just 6.0 DK fantasy points. It was his lowest output in his last five starts and at his price, he looks like a great cash play.
Raphinha | LEE | NEW | 9900 | 16.91 | 20 | 22.39 |
On the one hand, Raphinha feels like a bit of a luxury. Bruno Fernandes looks like a better value and teammate Jack Harrison offers a high floor at a cheaper price. That being said, Raphinha has double-digit DK fantasy points in 16 of his 18 games this season, with at least 19 fantasy points in nine of those. He isn't quite as consistent on FD but he is a better value. I'm going to try to fit him alongside Bruno Fernandes in all of my lineups.
Jack Harrison | LEE | NEW | 8300 | 9.6 | 16 | 13.45 |
Newcastle has allowed the most goals against per 90, and Harrison is averaging 3.75 crosses and 1.0 chances created in his last eight starts. This is a lot more than we are used to paying for him, but his floor is awfully high, especially in this matchup.
Allan Saint-Maximin | NEW | LEE | 7900 | 10.58 | 17 | 14.49 |
I wish he was a little more consistent for fantasy, but I like his chances of scoring a goal in a third consecutive game. He is by far Newcastle's best attacker in a very good matchup, and his price is reasonable.
Christian Norgaard | BRE | WOL | 4900 | 6.18 | 13 | 14.00 |
He is fine if you need a cheap midfielder on DK, but he is really on this list for FD. Norgaard has at least 13 FD fantasy points in 12 of his last 14 games. Midfielders don't get much safer than that. |
Defenders
Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG
Alex Telles | MUN | WHU | 5300 | 10.54 | 14 | 14.66
He is awfully cheap on DraftKings for someone who has at least 11 fantasy points in five consecutive games.
Conor Coady | WOL | BRE | 3400 | 4.08 | 10 | 12.19
He was great for us last week, scoring one of three Wolverhampton goals against Southampton. I don't expect a repeat, but I do expect him to extend his streak of 10 consecutive games with at least 11.5 FD fantasy points.
Paul Dummett | NEW | LEE | 3300 | 5.44 | 11 | 7.80
He had two crosses against Watford last week, and if he can repeat that against Leeds, he will be the best value defender on the DK slate. I don't expect much more than that, but he is cheap and shuld be relatively safe, so long as he starts again.
Craig Dawson | WHU | MUN | 3000 | 3.23 | 10 | 11.51
Dawson isn't quite as safe as Conor Coady, but he probably has a better matchup. No team on the slate has allowed as many tackles + interceptions as Manchester United. For his part, Dawson has double-digit FD fantasy points in six of his last eight games. |
