2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: The starter-turned-reliever was on three teams last year but still managed to put up a good stat line. The righty put up three wins, six saves, 22 holds, a 3.27 ERA, .206 BAA, and a 29.9-percent K-rate in 66 innings. The xERA was a 3.93 while the WHIP was 1.27 for a couple of areas of concern, but for a guy who moved more in a season some people do in a lifetime, that’s not bad.

2024 Outlook: The rich get richer with the addition of Lopez to their bullpen in 2024. Lopez should slot right in to the late-inning mix and get a chunk of holds in front of Iglesias with solid strikeout numbers and workload of between 66 and 76 innings. He’ll get plenty of chances to get holds given the Braves’ offense but without the save chances, he’s only valuable in leagues that count holds.
