2025 Player Outlook
If it weren’t for the shin injury that kept him out for three months, 2024 could have been a career year for Tucker. He ended up hitting 23 home runs with 11 stolen bases and a .585 SLG in just 78 games last year, and now gets to go to the Windy City in 2025. He’s a five-category producer that will be surrounded by a good lineup, and prior to last season, he played in 140+ games in each of the three seasons prior. He’s an elite fantasy asset in the prime of his career, and 2025 could be his first year as a member of the 30/30 club, not to mention above average marks in terms of batting average and OBP. He’ll be worth every penny in 2025.

Kyle Tucker went 2-for-4 with a double and plated the Cubs’ lone run as they dropped the opener of their three-game weekend series against the Tigers.
The Tigers had just scored a run in the home half of the fifth inning to take the lead when Tucker and the Cubs answered back with an RBI double off of Tarik Skubal in the sixth inning to tie things back up. That would wind up being the extent of their offense in the game however. With his two-hit attack, the 28-year-old superstar is now slashing .286/.396/.526 with 12 homers, 40 RBI and 16 stolen bases.
Kyle Tucker (finger) is hitting second and playing right field against the Nationals on Thursday.
Tucker was able to appear Wednesday as a pinch-hitter, but now the star outfielder is feeling well enough to be in the lineup from the jump for the series finale against the Nationals. He’s been excellent in his first year in Chicago with 12 homers, 16 stolen bases and a .912 OPS.
Kyle Tucker grounded out as a pinch-hitter Wednesday in his first action since jamming his ring finger Sunday.
The groundout with two men on ended the 2-0 loss to the Nationals. Still, hopefully this means he’ll be in Thursday’s lineup. Justin Turner has started in his place the last two days, with Seiya Suzuki shifting from DH to right field.
Kyle Tucker (finger) remains absent from the lineup for the second straight game on Wednesday against the Nationals.
The Cubs are trying to give Tucker some extra time off for the swelling to subside after injuring his right ring finger over the weekend on a stolen-base attempt. Fortunately, initial X-rays came back negative for any fractures and the 28-year-old fantasy superstar figures to return to Chicago’s lineup at some point this week. He remains day-to-day for now. It’ll be Seiya Suzuki in right field and Justin Turner at DH on Wednesday night for the second straight game.
