Williams had two years remaining on his rookie deal, but the team just didn’t want any drama. It’s an approach a team like the Cowboys could learn from, for instance. A 2024 breakout star, the Lions’ coaching staff has talked up the possibility Williams further breaks out in 2025. A game-breaker at every level of the field, Williams is pushing for weekly WR2 value and could force his way up the ranks as the season goes. Still somehow only 24 years old, Williams could be a fantasy stud for years to come if he can manage to avoid further suspensions.

Alvarez clobbered a solo shot off Jacob deGrom to give the Astros a 2-0 lead. He drove in his second run of the game and 27th of the season with a single in the eighth. Obviously Alvarez’s numbers have been down entirely because of his injury, but he’s now slashing a very solid .277/.375/.453 in his 40 games and 137 at-bats.

Jensen’s first ever MLB hit was an RBI double. The talented 22-year-old drove in another run on a fielder’s choice for what was (obviously) his first multi-RBI game. Jensen is more of a long-term play than one who should be considered in redraft leagues, but he’s definitely a name that should be monitored in the coming years; particularly when you consider he’ll line up behind the plate.
