An easy 96-pitch victory for Webb. He recorded six strikeouts and 14 whiffs in moving to 9-3 with a 3.09 ERA lifetime against the Rockies. He’s 4-2 with a 2.61 ERA in his eight starts this year. He’ll pitch in Minnesota next weekend.

Webb was a victim of some bad in this one. After two quick outs to start the game, the Padres brought three runs in to score on four hits and a walk in the first inning. Three more hits would plate two more runs in the fourth. Only two of the nine hits had an exit velocity over 88 mph, so Webb wasn’t giving up much hard contact. He’d end his day after five innings with six strikeouts. The 28-year-old right-hander will take a strong 2.83 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and a 50/11 K/BB ratio across 41 1/3 innings into a start against the Rockies in San Francisco on Sunday.

Webb walked three, but threw 72-of-106 pitches for strikes while striking out six. It’s yet another in the month of April that the right-hander has excelled, and he’s given up no more than three runs in any of his outings in 2025. The 28-year-old will take a 1.98 ERA into his scheduled bout against the Padres on Tuesday. That outing will take place in San Diego.
