Jaime Jaquez Jr.UCLACOL890031.75850029.91
Though Juzang got all the preseason accolades, Jaquez has arguably been the Bruins’ most valuable player and he’s certainly a more consistent high-end DFS play thus far. He’s gone for 30+ DK in five of seven games - including against both Villanova and Gonzaga - while stuffing the stat sheet and seeing heavy shot volume every time out. He may go overlooked because of the expensive price tags, but Jaquez should be a safe cash stud tonight.
Johnny DavisWISCGT610035.7860033.82
Davis showed flashes of talent as a freshman last year in a sixth-man role for Wisconsin, but he’s now the alpha offensive playmaker this season and consequently a DFS beast thus far. Not only is he averaging 20.0 PPG and 35.7 DK points, but he just torched the tougher defenses of Houston and Saint Mary’s in back-to-back games. He’s properly priced on FD, but the DK pricing is too cheap for a guy that’s on fire right now.
Eli BrooksMICHUNC630026.75640024.65
Brooks doesn’t get the same national recognition as Hunter Dickinson or even Caleb Houstan, but the senior is the team’s anchor right now and he’s better than you’d think for DFS. He’s averaging 15.7 PPG overall with at least 27 DK points in three of the last four games. In Michigan’s two toughest matchups, Brooks had 36 and 24 DK while stuffing the stat sheet in both. In the 6k range on both sites, he’s as safe as it gets in cash - especially in a pace-up spot here vs. UNC.
Terrence Shannon Jr.TTUPROV570026.25620023.87
We could’ve easily put Shannon Jr. in the value section of this playbook, but he’s a top play either way - the cheaper price tags are just a bonus. Since missing the beginning of the season due to eligibility concerns, Shannon has played the last three games and instantly taken on a high-usage role in Texas Tech’s offense. He’s scored 15+ real points and 24+ DK in all three games thus far with heavy shot volume. Shannon’s return is even more important for TTU with McCullar dealing with an illness and missing time lately.
Tyson EtienneWICHOKST500029.45790026.80
Note the price differential for Etienne tonight. Yep, he’s a lock value on DK with a whopping $2900 discount compared to FD. He’s actually a solid option on the latter slate too at the higher price tag if you’re playing on there. Don’t think twice on DK, though. Etienne is Wichita State’s best player and has put up 40, 38 and 33 DK over the last three games. He’ll be one of the values you’ll want.

Value Guards

Jordan GoldwireOUUF470020.71610019.03
The Duke transfer is now Oklahoma’s starting point guard and thus much more involved offensively than was the case previously in his collegiate career. Usually Goldwire was a defensive-minded guard who came off the bench for the Blue Devils, but he’s running the OU offense now and his DFS floor is pretty locked in to 20+ points. Even in a tough matchup on paper vs. Florida, expect Goldwire to be involved enough to return value for cash - though he's a better option on DK.
Hunter CattoorVTUMD430020.57500018.86
While DK has Cattoor priced too low, he’s also a value on FD at just 5k. This is Virginia Tech’s starting shooting guard who just put up 25 DK last time out, regularly plays about 30 minutes and can get hot from deep to easily smash value. He’s only shooting 37% from three so far, but Cattoor hit 43% last year and 40% from deep the season before. The Maryland defense is allowing a ton of perimeter scoring right now and Cattoor should get plenty of looks.
Brandon McKissicUFOU410017.17460015.90
Though McKissic came off the bench last game, it was more so because he was dealing with an apparent hamstring injury. Even as a reserve, the senior put up 19 DK in only 17 minutes. If we get word he’s back in the starting lineup with Phlandrous Fleming back to the bench, then McKissic would be a great value on both sites at sub-5k. Even still, he may log starter-level minutes either way and put up 20+ DK.
Tyrell RobertsWSUASU370019.17
A DK only play here but one that could end up being popular at sub-4k. Roberts is Washington State’s starting shooting guard and best three-point shooter - and now gets to face an ASU defense that’s been susceptible to the deep ball this season. He stepped up last game with 23 real points and 30 DK while Noah Williams and TJ Bamba were out - which could be the case again tonight. Still, this is too cheap for a starting backcourt player who could get hot from three.
Alyn BreedPROVTTU310010.1137009.24
We may need official word before this 8:30 ET tip to lock him in, but Breed could end up being a great value if he’s starting. As of now, he’s likely stepping into Providence’s starting lineup with Jared Bynum out and may see 30+ minutes with enough ancillary stat production to return value on these cheap price tags. Breed started a string of games last year when Bynum was out and he logged 30 minutes last game after his teammate went down in the first half.

Other Guards to Consider:

  • Michael Devoe -- Georgia Tech ($8,700 DK / $8,400 FD)
  • Caleb Love -- North Carolina ($8,100 DK / $6,600 FD)
  • K.D. Johnson -- Auburn ($6,700 DK / $7,000 FD)
  • Bryce Williams -- Oklahoma State ($4,800 DK / $6,700 FD)
  • Noah Locke -- Louisville ($4,500 DK / $4,900 FD)
  • Alex Lomax -- Memphis ($4,200 DK / $5,000 FD)
  • Jaylen Clark -- UCLA ($4,200 DK / $4,800 FD)
  • Kyle Sturdivant -- Georgia Tech ($3,400 DK / $4,900 FD)

Top Forwards

Jabari SmithAUBUCF940034.21820031.85
It’s tough to play Smith on DK at an elevated price tag, but he’s a solid option on FD in the 8k range. The freshman big man has been a stud in the early goings of this season, scoring 22+ real points in three of six games and showing off the NBA lottery pick talent we heard about in preseason. Smith should have his way with the UCF frontcourt tonight with the upside to drop 40+ DK points with a 20-point double-double as a real possibility.
Colin CastletonUFOU820037.58830035.00
The Florida center is always in play if the Gators are on the slate. Castleton is their go-to offensive option and that heavy involvement will keep his DFS floor safe enough in the 30-40 DK point range. There’s plenty of upside, too, against an OU frontcourt that’ll likely struggle to contain him without much size or depth. Load him up in cash.
Hunter DickinsonMICHUNC800031.38770029.38
The Wolverines’ big man is in a great spot here tonight against a UNC frontcourt that plays minimal defense and got torched by Purdue’s Trevion Williams earlier this season. Though Dickinson has yet to have that smash performance for DFS, it could be coming tonight in a faster-paced matchup where a 20-point double-double isn’t out of the question. Load him up in cash or GPP at these price points that could be much higher.
Noah HorchlerPROVTTU750030.61780028.03
If you’re looking for a contrarian pivot away from the other stud forwards in action, then Horchler is your guy. The senior power forward has been on fire from deep this season - draining 48% from three - and now faces a Texas Tech defense that’s allowing a ton of scoring via the three-pointer. Providence will need Horchler to play a key role tonight if it wants to pull the upset, and Horchler could easily smash in GPPs here - like when he dropped 50 DK last time out.
Brady ManekUNCMICH730028690026.17
Manek is coming off the bench right now for UNC, but he’s much more than just a reserve player. The former Oklahoma star is logging starter-level minutes and is as much involved offensively as Armando Bacot or Caleb Love. He’s draining 41% from three-point range and has 28+ DK points in five of six games already. The Heels will need Manek to step up if they want to take down Michigan tonight - and he’s a better per-dollar option than Bacot on this slate.

Value Forwards

Malik WilliamsULMSU490027.62660025.38
Williams is properly priced on FD, but his DK salary shouldn’t be below 5k at this point. Though he doesn’t see heavy usage or offensive involvement compared to other Louisville players, the senior big man is a force in the paint on both ends as a rebounder and shot-blocker. He’s gone for 25+ in five of six games already and is coming off a double-double & 40 DK vs. Maryland last time out. Expect him to be a popular value tonight on DK slate.
Moussa DiabateMICHUNC480018530016.97
While Michigan’s 6-foot-11 freshman doesn’t start, he’s still seeing heavy usage and shot volume in his usual 20-25 minutes on the court. Foul trouble has been an issue for him at times this season, but Diabate has still put up 19+ DK in four of six games and should benefit from the pace-up spot here vs. UNC. Plus, Michigan will need his size more in this matchup against the Heels’ trio of talented bigs.
DeAndre WilliamsMEMUGA460019.96570017.17
Even on a team with Jalen Duren and Emoni Bates, it’s Williams who actually leads Memphis in usage rate and shots share when he’s on the court. Though he’s been limited to just 20-25 minutes per game so far, his DFS production per minute is very efficient as a force in the paint on both ends. There’s some risk, though, because of his foul trouble issues and Memphis’ deep rotation - so limit to GPPs.
Jalen HillOUUF580024.68440023.20
Alright, FanDuel players - this value is for you as we have a rare instance of the mispricing on that site compared to DK. There’s no reason for Hill to be sub-5k as he’s averaging 23 FD points and has legit double-double upside as OU’s starting power forward without much competition for playing time. The Sooners will need his rebounding more tonight against Colin Castleton.
