QUARTERBACKS

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Brett GabbertMIAOHUNT880024.36
By default, Gabbert is the top QB on this slate and he should be the popular cash option. The Miami (OH) gunslinger ended the regular season strong with 350+ passing yards, four TDs and 33-45 DK points in three of the last four games. Gabbert benefits from throwing in a pass-centric offense and that keeps his DFS floor safer than most - especially on this slate.
Mikey KeeneUCFUF780012.44
If you want to fade Gabbert, then Keene is the pivot away at likely lower rostership. You can even roll out both in the same lineup considering the lack of decent QB options on this short slate. Keene will be motivated to play well as UCF is looking for QBs in the transfer portal but the door is still open for him to be the starter next season (with Dillon Gabriel leaving).
Emory JonesUFUCF640022.91
With Anthony Richardson out for this bowl game, it’s (presumably) all Emory Jones at QB for the Gators. Though the dual-threat announced plans to transfer, he’s still playing and starting this game and he should be pretty busy/motivated as both a passer and rusher to build his portal stock for a future. There’s always risk, but Joens should be in there the whole game barring injury because the backup behind him is a freshman QB who hasn’t played all year and the interim coach doesn’t care about next year.

Also Consider:

  • Austin Aune -- North Texas ($6,800 DK)

RUNNING BACKS

**NOTE: UNT RB DeAndre Torrey is reportedly out today.**

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
DeAndre TorreyUNTMIAOH680020.24
On a slate without any slam-dunk RB plays, Torrey stands out as the best cash option with a workhorse amount of touches and the possibility for 100+ yards and multiple TDs. Though North Texas uses multiple backs, Torrey still gets 20+ touches in a run-heavy scheme and will likely be heavily involved in this final game of his college career.
Isaiah BowserUCFUF610017.04
UCF’s lead back is expected to play after missing the final three games of the regular season. Obviously we won’t know how many carries or what his role will be in the return, but the GPP ceiling is there against an underwhelming Florida defense. If you want to fade Torrey, then Bowser is the contrarian pivot.
Dameon PierceUFUCF530015.12
Pierce was weirdly underused in Florida’s offense this season and only cracked double-digit carries in a game once. Coincidentally, it came in the season finale after head coach Dan Mullen was fired. Pierce was still very efficient with his limited touches, averaging 5.9 ypc and scoring 15 total TDs over 12 games. Since backup QB Anthony Richardson is out, we could see more carries go to Pierce like the last game - and it’s a favorable matchup vs. a subpar UCF rush defense.
Malik DavisUFUCF450011.26
Though he doesn’t get a ton of carries in a change-of-pace role behind Pierce, the Gators’ other RB has a higher DFS floor than most secondary backs because of his pass-catching ability. We could see plenty of work for both Pierce and Davis with a couple key players on offense out. Plus, this bowl is a chance for the fifth-year senior to end his college career on a high note.
Ikaika RagsdaleUNTMIAOH30009.54
While Torrey is the headliner, don’t forget about Ragsdale and his wrong minimum price tag on DK. Recently, Ragsdale has been getting a ton of work and racking up yardage/DFS production despite Torrey’s presence in this run-heavy UNT offense. He has three 100+ yard games with 15 carries or more in the last four games to end the year. Expect him to be popular in all formats on this short slate.

Also Consider:

  • Johnny Richardson -- UCF ($5,900 DK)
  • Kenny Tracy -- Miami OH ($4,100 DK)
  • Keyon Mozee -- Miami OH ($3,900 DK)

WIDE RECEIVERS

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Jack SorensonMIAOHUNT870022.92
Normally we’d say Sorenson is overpriced to consider in cash, but not on a short slate like this without any top-tier WRs. The No. 1 guy for Miami’s pass-heavy offense just put together a fantastic season with 1,290 receiving yards and 10 TDs over 12 games. He’s put up 18+ DK points in all but two games and is usually doing a lot better than that. It’ll be hard to fade Sorenson in cash.
Ryan O'KeefeUCFUF650018.4
O’Keefe is a clear favorite target of Mikey Keene with heavy target volume nearly every game. Expect the two to pair up plenty tonight for UCF’s top wideout to be a solid cash play and give you 20-25 DK or more like he’s done basically all season. In the PPR format, O’Keefe is a high-floor play with his reception volume.
Mac HippenhammerMIAOHUNT520013.3
While Sorenson is the clear top receiver for Miami (OH), Hippenhammer is a solid No. 2 and a decent cash option with how often the offense throws it. He was especially better for DFS later in the season when he had four combined TDs over the final four games.
Justin ShorterUFUCF51009.87
With Jacob Copeland likely sitting out while in the transfer portal, Shorter should move into the No. 1 WR role for Florida. Though he hasn’t been DFS-relevant for most of this season, the increase in targets and opportunity makes him more attractive. Shorter now leads the team in receptions and receiving yards with Copeland out.
Kemore GambleUFUCF380012.11
The Florida tight end should see a bump in target volume and receiving production with Copeland out and he’s way too cheap for the possibility at double-digit DFS points. Without Copeland, he’s just behind Shorter for the team lead in receptions and yards this season and could end up being a top target for Emory Jones today.

Also Consider:

  • Roderic Burns -- North Texas ($5,800 DK)
  • Brandon Johnson -- UCF ($5,300 DK)
  • Jaylon Robinson -- UCF ($4,800 DK)
  • Jalen Walker -- Miami OH ($4,500 DK)
  • Rick Wells -- Florida ($3,700 DK)
