Player News
Seahawks RB Kenny McIntosh (knee) was carted off the field in practice Saturday.
Fellow running backs Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet were seen talking to the third-year running back as he was helped onto the cart during a camp practice Saturday, with initial testing revealing a potentially torn ACL. McIntosh was set to enter the 2025 regular season third on the team’s depth chart, also a regular contributor on special teams. There is the potential for the team to explore free agent help at the position considering the general lack of depth behind Walker and Charbonnet following McIntosh’s injury.
Carson Spiers will undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery.
A date for the surgery has not been set. Spiers has been out for the majority of 2025 with a shoulder injury, but it appears that he suffered a setback in the elbow during his rehab. He’ll miss all of 2025, obviously, and there’s a good chance that he won’t pitch in 2026 as well.
Rams HC Sean McVay said QB Matthew Stafford (back) will not practice next week.
McVay stated that the team is not expecting Stafford to miss more than the first portion of camp, indicating they believe he will be back on the practice field in short order. “I don’t have any reason to be concerned,” McVay added later in the press conference with media following practice Saturday. Stafford has been sidelined at the beginning of camp with back soreness, something that doesn’t seem to be overly serious for the 37-year-old quarterback even though his initial timeline for return to team activities has now been prolonged.
Angels recalled OF Gustavo Campero from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Campero is up to provide depth in the outfielder after Jorge Soler was placed on the injured list with back inflammation. Campero was awful in his previous stint with the Angels, and offers zero fantasy upside.
Angels placed OF Jorge Soler on the 10-day injured list with lower back inflammation.
