Thomas drew a walk in the third and scored Arizona’s first run on a triple by Corbin Carroll. That would be it for Pfaadt, who scattered nine hits and one walk while striking out four. The 26-year-old right-hander will take a 5.50 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, and a 55/18 K/BB ratio across 70 1/3 innings into a start against the Blue Jays in Toronto next Tuesday.
