*EARLY* Tyler Naquin, OF CIN (DK - $3,400 / FD - $2,900)

I know Adbert Alzolay has a lot of hype behind his name, but he struggles with left-handed hitters. He’s allowed 11 HR, a .578 SLG% and a .377 wOBA to them this year and now has to navigate Great American Ballpark. Tyler Naquin has hit 12 homers this year and 11 have come against righties. He has a .337 wOBA against them and has a .336 wOBA at home as well. He hits in the middle of the Reds lineup to boot.

J.P. Crawford, SS SEA (DK - $3,700 / FD - $2,900)

I’m shocked his price is still this low. In June, Crawford slashed .352/.400/.528, scoring 17 runs, driving in 14 more while notching 13 XBH and two SB. Jordan Lyles has definitely been better recently, but even while pitching better, he’s only been able to lower his ERA to 5.12 on the year. It’s really hard not to like Crawford in all formats at this price point.

Tony Kemp, 2B/OF OAK (DK - $3,600 / FD - $2,800)

The Athletics projected leadoff man against righties, Kemp is in a good groove at the plate. He hit .292 in both May and June but he took it to another level during June posting a .950 OPS. He’s hit .284 with an .853 OPS with a .371 wOBA against right-handed pitching and Garrett Richards is struggling mightily right now. He’s allowed six homers in his last three starts and four earned runs or more in each of his last four outings. Kemp is a threat to swipe a bag as well.

DraftKings

*EARLY* Tarik Skubal, SP DET ($6,400)

This feels...off. I know the White Sox are a premier offense in this league, but Skubal has been really, really good himself. He’s coming seven innings of one-run ball, while striking out nine and that was against the Houston Astros, aka the best offense in baseball. Skubal has faced the White Sox twice this year and has struck out 17 batters across 11 innings. The White Sox strike out over 23% of the time against left-handed pitching and this is an opportunity to get Skubal at a price point we will likely not see him at again.

Dylan Carlson, OF STL ($3,700)

Everyone and I mean EVERYONE is hitting Kyle Freeland this year. Lefties are batting .344 and righties are batting .333. Both have an OPS north of .990 and at least a .420 wOBA to boot. Now he has to navigate the dreaded Coors Field. Carlson has loved facing left-handed pitching as he’s batting .343 with a .370 wOBA. His .448 SLG% from the right side of the dish is much better than his .388 mark as a lefty.

Ty France, 2B/3B SEA ($3,600)

France had his best month of the year in June, slugging .510 with an .867 OPS and a .370 wOBA and hits righties well. He has a .337 wOBA against right-handed pitching this year. Why is that important? Jordan Lyles gets crushed by righties, allowing a .320 AVG, .930 OPS and a .391 wOBA. Jordan Lyles has an 8.00 ERA on the road and France has dominated at home, hitting .292 and a .380 wOBA.

FanDuel

*EARLY* Jonathan Schoop, 1B/2B DET ($2,900)

I mean, Schoop has been really good offensively this year. He’s loved his lefties, too, batting .295 with six homers and a .392 wOBA. Dallas Keuchel has been worse on the road this year allowing a .277 AVG and .334 wOBA compared to .254 and .313 at home. Over the last 30 days, Schoop is slashing .333/.371/.638 with eight homers and 25 RBI.

LaMonte Wade Jr., OF SFG ($2,900)

It feels like this dude just doesn’t get respected by DFS sites. He’s been so, so good. Hitting out of the leadoff hole, he’s crushing right-handed pitching. He hit another home run on Friday night and has notched an OPS over 1.000 over his last 10 games. Wade has seven homers this year, and all seven have come against right-handed pitching. He’s also notched a .308 AVG and a .414 wOBA against RHP.

Taylor Ward, OF LAA ($2,700)

Ward has flashed a lot of power against right-handed pitching this year, notching a .457 SLG%, .233 ISO and 34.9% hard-hit rate. We love using righties against Jorge Lopez as they’re batting .303 with an .860 OPS and a .372 wOBA. He also has to navigate through this Angels lineup IN Angel Stadium of Anaheim which averages the third highest run output per game. Really like Ward to pop one here.
