NBA DFS Playbook - February 9

I want to warn you that this is NOT a good spot for him. That said, that could depress his ownership and if he goes off, he could win you a GPP. CLE is a top-10 defense and a bottom-five team in pace. That said, Murray has already scored 30 points and 60 DKP against CLE this year.

Utah has not been great defensively without Rudy Gobert ranking 21st in DRtg since the last game he played. Curry, after going through his own struggles, has looked wayyyy better offensively lately, shooting 48% from the field and 44% from three. He’s topped 47 DKP in three of five games and is showing signs of life. Without Klay Thompson in the lineup, Curry is expected to shoulder a bigger burden offensively.

The Bulls best three perimeter defenders are out, placing Ball firmly in play. This game has a 234.5 total, tied for the highest on the board. GPPs only, however.

I don’t love the game environment, but FVV has been very good lately. He’s averaged 43.1 DKP/game over his last six while playing 41.3 MPG. He’s a safe play, working best in cash but has 50+ DKP upside for GPPs as well.

We just saw this match-up on Tuesday and the teams are going to run it back on Wednesday. Fox was great in his return from the ankle sprain, playing 35 minutes while scoring 29 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and put up 48.25 DKP. His price is $400 cheaper than it was on Tuesday.

Simons did not shoot the ball great on Tuesday and hasn’t really been shooting well lately, but we know the volume is going to be there without Lillard, McCollum, or Powell being there. He has 50+ FP upside when his shot is falling and now faces a Lakers team on the second leg of a back-to-back that just gave up 131 points last night.

White’s role has kinda fallen by the wayside lately, but the Bulls have already ruled out Ayo Dosunmu already, so they’re down SO many guards here. White is still the fourth offensive option, but we know he can get it going at times. He’s scored 16+ actual in three of his last five games and this game environment is ELITE.

Not entirely sure what to make of the sudden shift from Goodwin to Rondo, but if Darius Garland and Caris LeVert are out, Rondo is in play. Especially if he’s going to play 30+ minutes.

Mitchell has played in two games since returning from his concussion and has looked dynamic in each. He went off against the Knicks scoring 32 points and 58.75 DKP despite how slow paced this game was. The Warriors are without a few of their best perimeter defenders in Thompson and Iguodala. Love Mitchell in GPPs.

He was not great on Tuesday, but the price reduction is wildly interesting. This is the cheapest he’s been since November, but this spot is GREAT. The Kings are one of the worst defensive units in the league and Russell could easily double-double here.

I think Rozier is a fairly tournament play here. The Bulls are missing all of their best wing defenders and Charlotte is also without Gordon Hayward and Cody Martin. Charlotte went with a VERY small rotation last time out and that’s something we should like quite a bit.

Without Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala, Jordan Poole is going to play a big role here. Poole has topped 33 DKP in four of his last six games. We know how well he can score, but everything else has been elevated. The rebounding, swipes of the ball and even the assists. UTA is a bottom-10 defense without Rudy Gobert.

I don’t love the match-up and I don’t love the price, but I love the volume Mann’s getting right now. I love the minutes right now, putting up 30+ in four straight as well. We saw against Dallas, however, when his shot is falling, he can really get it going.

We’re unsure who will be in and out for POR, but if it’s the same cast as it was on Tuesday, McLemore is in for another start and 30+ minutes in all likelihood. McLemore can spread the floor and is a STREAKY shooter of all streaky shooters. He scored 28 points against the Lakers earlier in the year, by the way.

I don’t love the price, but I love the match-up and could see a double or triple-double out of James here.

I like Wiggins here. Golden State is down multiple pieces tonight with Klay Thompson being ruled out on the front end of a back-to-back. Without Thompson, Green, Iggy, and Bjelica this year, Wiggins has an elite 24.8% USG rate.

Oubre can definitely be great at times but he can definitely be horrible and sink your lineups as well. Without Gordon Hayward and Cody Martin the other day, Oubre played a massive role and the Hornets only played eight guys total. Oubre averages .98 FP/min without Hayward, Martin, and Bouknight.

We’re unsure who will be in and out for POR, but if it’s the same cast as it was on Tuesday, Elleby is in for another start and 30+ minutes in all likelihood. He put up 31 DKP on Tuesday and was one rebound shy of a double-double. The price tag is very nice as is the match-up for Wednesday’s game.

Do I love the price tag? No, but I do like how good he’s been lately. He’s averaged 53.7 DKP/game over his last six games. This game has moved drastically in Vegas as it’s up to 236.5 right now. Hard game to ignore.

Who the hell is going to guard Siakam? Nobody has been able to lately, truthfully, as he's averaged 52.3 DKP/game over his last six. He’s topped 50 DKP in three straight games and has been a nightly triple-double threat each and every time out.

Jon Impemba has been preaching about how well power-forwards have done against the Bulls for some time now and he’s not wrong at all. Bridges has a chance to have a ceiling game here and he’s coming off a game in which he played 42 minutes and put up 49.5 DKP.

The letdown is coming, I feel it, but Bazley has been good and there is no denying it at all. Not only has he been good, he;s playing ALL the minutes. 36+ minutes in four straight games, and seeing time at both PF and C. Bazley could definitely double-double here considering the Raptors play smaller up front too.

I like Winslow and I’m happy to see him getting an opportunity in Portland. He started and played 33 minutes on Tuesday while putting up 32.35 DKP. Winslow can do a lot on the floor and he hit two three’s, which could really be an interesting wrinkle to his game. Like the value on Winslow.

You LOVE to see the 34 minutes out of Metu and there is absolutely reason to think it wouldn’t happen again if the guys that were missing don’t play again here. That being said, we’ll see if Domantas Sabonis plays today. If he does, it’ll be hard to get to Metu.

A night after getting torched by Giannis, Davis is going to be motivated to put on a show. It’s a good spot and Davis has been a great fantasy producer lately, notching 56.1 DKP/game over his last five. Davis needs to be more aggressive as he only took 10 shots on Tuesday which is very unprecedented for him.

Vucevic went off against Charlotte in their first meeting, putting up 62.5 DKP, putting up 30 points and 14 rebounds. I don’t love the price truthfully, and I also don’t love his fantasy output when both LaVine and DeRozan are on the floor. This game has quickly become the best total on the board.

All-star game snub narrative here? Allen is two games removed from 29 points and 22 rebounds and has back-to-back games of at least 15 & 15. BY THE WAY, he had 17 points and 16 rebounds against the Spurs in their meeting earlier this year. 

With the Hornets shrinking their rotation, Plumdog should see a sizable role considering Nikola Vucevic is on the other side on the floor. They’re going to need him to match up with Vuc and has seen 30+ minutes a couple times lately and in both of those games he’s put up double-digit rebounds and put up 29+ DKP. 

I mean, if Azubuike starts again – which is the expectation – he’s 100% in play. He played 27 minutes the last time out and 24 the time before it. He has 10+ rebounds in three straight and 24 DKP in each, with 30 FP in the last one. The Warriors may be without Kevon Looney here, which would be a big advantage for Azubuike.

ADDED - We'll see how the Thunder deploy their rotation on Tuesday. Things have been shaken up a bit as the Thunder have released Mamadi Diakite, called Poku up, and Robinson-Earl, Muscala and Roby are all out. When Poku played the other day – before he was sent down – he played 26 minutes and 28.25 DKP. He's only 3.6K on DK.

ADDED - Dort has looked fantastic offensively recently, putting up 23+ points in three straight and 37+ DKP in each of those games. As a matter of fact he put up 35+ DKP in five straight, 30+ in six straight. Without the guys in there this year, Dort is approaching a 30% USG rate, which is elite.

ADDED - Taking note of LaVine's price on FD & Yahoo is a STEAL! He's a little too expensive on DK, but man, hard to ignore on FD & Y!
