Top Tier
Tom Brady, TB - Fresh off a bye and facing a pass defense that ranks 31st in DVOA. Brady tossed four touchdown passes against the Saints back in Week 8 and even with the bye week he still leads the league with 25 touchdown passes while trailing Matthew Stafford by79 yards for the passing yards lead as well. Another multi-touchdown performance should certainly be in order here this week.
Josh Allen, BUF - I mean, what in the hell was that all about? Allen had just 12.6 fantasy points last week in what should have been a smash spot against the Jacksonville Jaguars but instead the Bills score SIX total points and lose to Jacksonville. This was supposed to be an elite stretch for Allen as the Bills now play the Jets who are just as bad, if not worse, than Jacksonville is considered to be. The Jets run defense is among the league's worst but the Bills do not really run the football so I will again just go ahead and assume that Allen picks apart this New York defense on his way to a 2-to-3 touchdown game...but I am less confident about him than I was last week.
Aaron Rodgers, GB - Rodgers was quoted on Tuesday during an interview that he feels confident he will be suiting up on Sunday against the Seahawks. If that holds true then I think we run it back here with a likely motivated Rodgers given the controversy surrounding him over the last week. Add to the fact that he may even have a new receiver to play with in Odell Beckham Jr. who has listed the Packers as his top team to sign with. Rodgers with Davante Adams and Odell Beckham Jr. would be a tough test for anyone.
Mid Tier
Russell Wilson, SEA - The Seahawks QB is coming off IR this week following his finger injury and will suit up against the Packers. The Green Bay defense has had its ups and downs this season and will have their hands full with D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett this week. Wilson is certainly an interesting GPP candidate and we can finally get back to saying “Let Russ Cook” in Week 10.
Dak Prescott, DAL - Prescott returned from his one week absence and the Cowboys offense looked abysmal as the Broncos went into Dallas and shut them down. Fortunately, Prescott threw two garbage time touchdowns late in the game to help get his fantasy managers solid production. In Week 10 the Cowboys are home once again and this week they face off against the Falcons. The Falcons pass defense ranks 28th in DVOA and given the talent the Cowboys have at the receiver position, and the price of those receivers this week, Prescott is going to be an appealing option.
Value Tier
Carson Wentz, IND - There is no doubt that the Colts are going to look to go run heavy here against Jacksonville but at this price point there is still upside for Wentz if he can continue his trend of multi-touchdown performances. Right now Wentz and Michael Pittman are one of the best QB/WR combos at their price points and this is a matchup we are expecting them to take advantage of, unless of course, what we saw last week from Jacksonville when they shutdown Buffalo was a sign of things to come. Otherwise, Wentz has six passing touchdowns over the last two weeks and has at least two passing touchdowns in every game but two this season.
Taylor Heinicke, WAS - The Buccaneers secondary has been one we have looked to attack all season long. Heinicke is certainly nothing special but he does have some decent receiving options, notably, Terry McClaurin. Assuming this is a game where Washington is going to be playing from behind, there is a good chance that we see Heinicke throwing 40-plus times this week and may put up close to 20 FP just out of sheer volume.
Fade
Jalen Hurts, PHI - Listen, I understand the upside here because of his running ability, but the man is not a good passer. He took advantage of a great situation last week and yet still only managed 16 fantasy points. The Eagles now have to go into Denver to play a Broncos defense that is riding high after shutting down the Cowboys last week. This one just feels like too much of a risk for me.
