Today's Top Plays
Spencer Dinwiddie over 16.5 Points
As of writing this article we are still looking at Dinwiddie with a points play of 16.5 on the PrizePicks board. With Bradley Beal out of the lineup yesterday we were all in on Dinwiddie and he did not disappoint, scoring 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting. We have seen Dinwiddie play two games against the Magic this season with one of those games being WITHOUT Bradley Beal. In that game Dinwiddie finished with 23 points on 10-of-18 shooting. Without Bradley Beal in the lineup this season which totals seven games, Dinwiddie is averagign 24.0 points while eclipsing 16.5 points in all seven of those games.
Christian Wood over 17.5 Points
The Spurs are not a strong defensive team at the center position, allowing the eighth most points per game to the position. Wood has eclipsed the 17.5 point number in seven of his last 10 games and one of those three games where he failed to hit that goal was the game against the Nuggets where he refused to enter the game and was eventually suspended for those antics. Wood has a 23.7% usage rate this season while averaging 17.1 points per game on the year.
Joel Embiid over 15.5 Points First Half
I have talked about this one on the NBA DFS Podcast long enough that we should be looking at this prop here tonight in the best possible matchup for centers as the Charlotte Hornets are allowing the most points to the center position this season. Why do we like the first half number here over the full number? Well, Embiid has been SMASHING the first half of games of late, which included him scoring 17 points just in the first quarter against the Rockets the other night and 21 points in the first half against the Spurs before that. In fact, as you can see from the graphic below, Embiid has gone OVER 15.5 points in the first half in 14 straight games.
