The last day of June and things are in full swing (excuse the pun) with a 10-game main slate tonight after a four-game early slate. There are things we need to pay attention to weather-wise as there are issues all over the map tonight ranging from strong chances of rain to games that may experience a pop up shower that may not affect anything. So keep on top of the weather tonight before lock to make sure your guys are going to play.

Top Tier

Jared Walsh, 1B LAA - It doesn’t get much tastier than this. Walsh is CRUSHING right-handed pitching this year with 14 homers and a .445 wOBA off of them while Domingo German has allowed 12 of his 14 homers at home. The temps are hot and the wind is blowing out which is a recipe for big offense and with Ohtani on the mound tonight, Walsh is the biggest bat in the lineup for LA.

Bo Bichette, SS TOR - There’s no issue with the Blue Jays lineup right now and facing a lefty it’s gets even tastier with Bichette posting a whopping .445 wOBA against southpaws this year. Sheffield is allowing a .914 OPS to RHHs this year and now playing in a Triple-A stadium that’s far from the pitcher’s park that T-Mobile Park is, Sheffield is getting more hittable by the minute.

J.D. Martinez, OF BOS - Martinez against a lefty is usually a recipe for success even if the power hasn’t fully showed up yet this year. He’s posted a .340 wOBA against southpaws this year but only two homers. At home he’s posted a robust .409 wOBA and seven homers and with the temperatures in the mid-90s and wind blowing out the weather is on his side as well.

Mid-Tier

Kyle Tucker, OF HOU - Tucker has been hitting at a .308 clip with an .876 OPS over the last 10 games and has been a key part of the Astros’ lineup all year. Now he gets the batting practice pitcher known as Matt Harvey while at home as well. All of that should make you hop all over Tucker today with a .381 wOBA and eight homers against RHPs which are both third-best on the team and at home the wOBA mark goes up to .398. The price still doesn’t match where his teammates are and that’s a value added to us. Houston will be a popular stack and Tucker can be paired well with Yuli Gurriel and Michael Brantley.

Ty France, 1B SEA - While France hasn’t seen Matz previously, he does have the second-best wOBA versus southpaws in the Mariners’ lineup at a .361 mark. He’s also hit five homers off of lefty-pitchers this year too. Matz has struggled against RHHs and at home he’s posted a 5.76 ERA with five homers allowed in 25 innings. Mitch Haniger is certainly in play too but France is a nice price discount while still getting exposure to the middle of the Mariners’ starting nine.

Austin Riley, 3B ATL - Riley has cooled off a tad since about a week ago when he was scorching hot but he’s still been very solid against LHPs this year. While he’s not the best on the squad against southpaws, he’s still solid and Peterson hasn’t exactly been a lock down starter of late. The other advantage that Riley has going for him is that he’s posted an .870 OPS at home this year, more than 100 points higher than on the road, and he’s by far the cheapest option in the top half of the Braves lineup.

Value Tier

Brian Goodwin, OF CWS - Goodwin has been pretty solid for the White Sox since joining the team a few weeks ago. He’s also been a guy who’s been known to be good in lefty-righty match-ups as well and with Bailey Ober struggling against lefty-hitters so far, let's pounce on this match-up at this. Goodwin has a .432 wOBA vs. RHPs in 31 at-bats this year and Ober is allowing a .529 wOBA. He should be hitting toward the top of the lineup as well which adds to the value.

Eli White, OF TEX - Look, I get it, White isn’t the most consistent hitter but we don’t need consistency at this price point, we just need him to show up once. Against Chris Bassitt, he’s managed to go 3-for-4 in their brief meetings and White is hitting .256 over his last 10 games which is nearly 60 points higher than his season average. The last series against the A’s he also went for double-digit points three of four games.
