Top Tier

Salvador Perez, C KC - A catcher in the top tier? Why yes, yes indeed. He’s leading the league in homers with 41 and against southpaws he’s been very good with a .423 wOBA and 17 homers. Alex Wells has been rocked by righty hitters with a .393 BAA and .460 wOBA allowed. It is Camden Yards and the wind is blowing out to left field which is bound to help him as well.

Jose Altuve, 2B HOU - Granted it’s a small sample size but Altuve is already 4-for-6 off of the Mariners’ young right-hander and it’s not like Gilbert has been a shut down option much of the year either. Altuve has CRUSHED righties this year Altuve has been crushing righties all year and it’s not like Logan Gilbert has been a shut down starter for the Mariners. It’s a small sample size for sure, but Altuve is 4-for-6 in their prior meetings this year. He’s hit 20 homers and .362 wOBA against righties and Gilbert is allowing a .334 wOBA.

Mid Tier

Cedric Mullins, OF BAL - Kowar hasn’t been great on the mound at all this year and has been being hit like a bad batting practice pitcher. Mullins on the other hand just continues to churn out good game after good game and against RHPs he’s hitting .313 with a .398 wOBA and 18 homers. The game is in Baltimore which has allowed the second-most amount of runs per game this season and the wind is blowing out, should be fireworks tonight.

Andrew McCutchen, OF PHI - Against Eric Lauer, McCutchen is 7-for-11 with two homers and a .769 wOBA and against southpaws he’s hitting .307 with 14 homers and a .454 wOBA. Lauer has allowed a .303 wOBA to right handed hitters and away from home, he’s been posting a .340 wOBA with 13 of his 24 dingers.

Value Tier

Tyler Naquin, OF CIN - Naquin is 3-for-4 and a homer off of Adrian Sampson in previous meetings. He’s also posting a .366 wOBA off of righties with 18 homers and Sampson is allowing a .376 wOBA to lefties and a .286 BAA. Wind is blowing out at Wrigley tonight as well.
