We have ourselves a nice little nine game slate on this Monday evening with quite a few pitchers that we are going to attack! What’s going to be chalk today? Well, a couple of bats in New York and Houston right-handers are my favorites for this slate. Outside of Trevor Bauer, most pitches are reasonably priced and won’t command an overwhelming amount of your salary, sans Bauer. Without further ado, let’s jump into today’s slate and find the best value plays of the day!

Both Sites:

Myles Straw, OF HOU ($2,400 FD/$3,000 DK) - Straw is hitting .342 this month and is a perfect 5-for-5 on the base paths. Don’t underestimate that ability to add a few extra fantasy points with his legs! He’s been red hot of late, notching seven hits in his last three games, and logging four multi-hit contests in his last eight appearances. Baltimore’s Thomas Eshelman has allowed a .375 wOBA to right-handed hitters, and Straw has a .287/.353/.378 slash line against righties.

Ryan O’Hearn, 1B KC ($2,700 FD/$2,900 DK) - O’Hearn has a .748 OPS against righties this year, and has a solid five home runs in just 68 at-bats. Boston’s Garrett Richards has allowed a .286 batting average to left-handed hitters, and he’s been a disgrace at home this year, allowing a 6.46 ERA. Furthermore, at home versus a lefty, he’s allowed an .863 OPS and a .325 batting average to lefties. Richards has stunk at home, he has a 6.95 ERA across 22 innings pitched this month and O’Hearn has displayed some nice pop versus righties this season.

FanDuel:

Gio Urshela, 3B NYY ($3,000) & Luke Voit, 1B NYY ($2,600) - A little two for one! The Yankees are going to be a popular stack tonight and rightfully so. On the road this year, Dylan Bundy has allowed a 6.97 ERA and .844 OPS, and specifically against righties, he’s allowed a .302 average to right-handed hitters away from his home park. Righties have a 2.04 HR/9 against him in 2021, and that number jumps to 2.81 just in road games! Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton will get the attention, but at this price point, you’ll want Urshela and Voit in your lineups.

Yuli Guriel, 1B HOU ($3,000) - Houston right-handers, folks! Gurriel is the only one priced reasonably enough to make it into this article, but Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa should be on your radar, too. Gurriel is hitting righties at a .321 clip this year, and Baltimore’s Thomas Eshelman has allowed a .308 batting average to righties this year. Also, for what it’s worth, Gurriel is hitting .386 in the month of June, .364 over the last two weeks and is 6-for-10 with three RBI and two runs scored against Baltimore in 2021.

DraftKings:

Akil Baddoo, OF DET ($3,000) - Baddoo is hitting .351 in June with a massive .448 on-base percentage! He’s hit safely in 11 of his last 13 games, and while Eli Morgan has been pounded by nearly all hitters, lefties have a .357 batting average and .469 wOBA. To Baddoo’s credit, he also has a .304 average against right-handed pitching in 2021. In terms of road games specifically, he has a six game hit streak, and I really like a Baddoo and Jonathan Schoop mini-stack tonight.
