After focusing on some fantasy football this weekend at the King’s Classic and Fantasy Football Expo, it’s time to get back to my second home, which is in the Value Vault! We have a nice little slate this evening, and of course, some of the sites are throwing us a couple bones with some of the player pricing! Let’s take advantage and start the week off right!

Below, you’ll find my favorite value plays of the day for FanDuel, DraftKings and Yahoo!

All Sites:

Myles Straw, OF CLE ($3,000 FD/$2,5000 DK/$15 Y) - Oh, Griffin Jax. The Minnesota right-hander has reverse splits, as righties have hit him at a .289 clip with an OPS near .930! Through 26 games with Cleveland this year, Straw is slashing .305/.369/.441 and these prices, especially on DraftKings, are quite favorable.

Luis Arraez, 2B MIN ($2,400 FD/$2,700 DK/$14 Y) - Arraez is hitting righties at a .338 clip with a .361 wOBA here in 2021. Additionally, he’s hitting .305 at home this year while Cleveland’s Cal Quantrill has allowed a 3.60 ERA on the road this year. In August, Arraez is hitting .385 with a .455 on-base percentage. Fire him up today, especially at these prices.

Yahoo:

Matt Chapman, 3B OAK ($14) - Chapman might be one of my favorite plays of the entire slate. He’s 6-for-15 with two home runs in his career against Dallas Keuchel and his .826 OPS against southpaws is far better than his .655 OPS mark against righties. Also, Chapman is heating up, as he has eight hits (3 HR) in his last 17 at-bats, good for a 1.654 OPS.

Wil Myers, OF SDP ($15) - You’ll want exposure to this game and Myers is a good way to do it. He’s 10-for-27 with a home run and .414 wOBA against Antonio Senzatela. Myers has homered once every 20.4 at-bats on the road this year, and he’s sporting a quality .318 batting average over his last 22 at-bats.

Whit Merrifield, 2B KC ($12) - This price is a bit shocking, given how much Merrifield can do on a nightly basis. Merrifield is hitting .269 in August and he has a .288 batting average at home this year. Furthermore, Jake Odorizzi is a familiar foe, and a good chunk of the battles have resulted in a Merrifield victory. In his career, Merrifield is 8-for-19 with three home runs against Odorizzi.

FanDuel:

Jorge Soler, OF ATL ($3,300) - Soler has a .793 OPS against southpaws this year and Miami’s Braxton Garrett has had issues this year. He’s allowed a .307 average and .363 wOBA to right-handers this year, and those are actually the better of his splits, albeit still rather poor. Since coming to Atlanta, Soler is hitting .261 with a .380 wOBA and .871 OPS.

Brendan Rodgers, 2B/SS COL ($3,300) - Rodgers has a .292 batting average and .974 OPS against lefties this year, and tonight’s contest is in the launching pad that is Coors Field. Rodgers has a .361 batting average and .882 OPS so far in August, and against San Diego pitching this year, he has a .280/.308/.520 triple slash. Oh, he is also 2-for-3 with a home run in his career against Ryan Weathers.

DraftKings:

Connor Joe, OF COL ($2,800) - Joe has hit lefties at a .250 clip this year, and he’s homered three times in just 40 at-bats.  In his home park, he’s homered four times in just 46 at-bats, while hitting .370 with a .463 wOBA. San Diego’s Ryan Weathers has reverse splits, as lefties have hit for a higher average, despite a bit less pop. Sign me up for Joe this evening at a very respectable price point in the game’s friendliest offensive park.

Jorge Alfaro, C MIA ($3,000) - Alfaro is a solid play today, and is rather affordable on all slates, but he only has outfield eligibility on Yahoo, so he didn’t make the “All Sites” section at the top. Being able to slot him in as your catcher is far more lucrative for your lineup this evening. He’s hitting .300 in the month of August and he’s 2-for-2 in his career against Atlanta’s Touki Toussaint.
