College football and baseball all afternoon and evening, and then when your head hits the pillow tonight, we get baseball and football all day tomorrow as well! You have to love it! We have a decent sized slate tonight and I found tons of value on the offensive side of the ball this evening. Make sure to check out the playbook and pitching coach for your pitching needs, but today’s Value Vault focuses on value bats to afford you some financial flexibility on FanDuel, DraftKings and Yahoo!

Let’s jump in and take a look at my favorite value bats for Saturday's main slate!

All Sites:

Jarred Kelenic, OF SEA ($2,500 FD/$2,900 DK/$11 Yahoo) - Lefties against Humberto Casatellanos is my mantra for this evening’s slate. Castellanos has allowed a .261 batting average and .354 wOBA to left-handed hitters this year, and while Jarred Kelenic is hitting just .160 against righties overall this year, he’s starting to come along overall. In eight September games, Kelenic is hitting .250 with a .700 OPS, and he’s hit safely in six of the eight games. I love the price across the board for Kelenic, and I’m going to buy into Kelenic’s upside against Castellanos, especially since Castellanos’ last start against Seattle resulted in a shellacking.

Carlos Santana, 1B KC ($2,900 FD/$2,500 DK/$8 Yahoo) - Santana is 7-for-12 with a home run in his career against Michael Pineda. Santana has been bad against righties this year, but this is a righty with which he’s very familiar. Santana does have a .707 OPS against Minnesota pitching this year and I’m going to trust the BvP numbers today with the veteran switch-hitter.

Yahoo:

Luis Arraez, 2B MIN ($9) - Arraez is 4-for-10 with a .364 wOBA against Brady Singer in his career and when the Twins are at home, Arraez should be on your radar. He’s hitting .305 at home this year and he gets to face the Kansas City right-hander that has a 4.40 ERA on the road this year and a 4.22 ERA in 10.2 innings (across three starts) against the Twins in 2021!

Andrew Benintendi, OF KC ($11) - Benintendi has eight hits over his last three games, including three home runs, 10 RBI and four runs scored. In 2021, he has a .742 OPS against right-handed pitching, and he’s hitting a quality .298 away from his home park. Do you know what he’s hitting, in terms of batting average, and his OPS is against Minnesota pitching this year? How does a .405 batting average and 1.256 OPS sound? Pretty good? If so, play Benintendi this evening against Pineda and his 4.13 ERA at home and 6.35 ERA over the past 30 days.

FanDuel:

Jared Walsh, 1B LAA ($2,800) - I like Houston’s Luis García as much as the next guy or gal, but I think I love Walsh against Garcia even more! Walsh is 5-for-7 with two home runs, five RBI and a .818 wOBA against Garcia in his career. Sheesh! Lefties are hitting .271 against Garcia this year, and Walsh is hitting .321 with a .971 OPS against righties this season. The Los Angeles slugger has a .378 batting average and a.140 OPS over the last two weeks, and is a great play this evening, potentially in a mini-stack with Shohei Ohtani (3-for-8 with 2 HR vs. Garcia).

Abraham Toro, 3B/2B SEA ($2,900) - Unlike his teammate Kelenic, Toro has half-decent numbers against right-handed pitching. Toro is hitting .250 with a .769 OPS against righties this year overall, but specifically with Seattle, he’s hitting .306 against righties. Also, he’s hitting .400 with a 1.004 OPS over his last 25 at-bats! Toro and Kelenic are integral pieces of any Seattle stack this evening.

DraftKings:

Tyler Naquin, OF CIN ($2,800) - Naquin versus a righty, don’t overthink it! St. Louis’ Miles Mikolas has allowed a .310 batting average and .371 wOBA to left-handed hitters and Naquin has a .284 batting average and .858 OPS against righties in 2021. He’s hitting .273 with a .779 OPS over the last two weeks, and he’s hit .271 on the road this season. Don’t overthink it this evening.

David Peralta, OF ARI ($3,000) - Peralta is 3-for-5 with one home run against Seattle’s Chris Flexen, and while the Seattle right-hander has been far more generous to right-handed hitters, you can comfortably play Peralta this evening. The BvP numbers favor the veteran outfielder, and Peralta is hitting a cool .333 with a .917 OPS over the last two weeks!
