Pitchers
$30 Y!
Against lefties this season, the Angels are hitting just .107 (3-for-28) with a 26.7-percent strikeout rate. Jesús Luzardo was excellent in the spring, striking out 10 batters in 11.2 innings of work while allowing just one earned run. Luzardo's price point is most affordable on Yahoo, where his $30 price tag represents greater value and bang for your buck compared to on DraftKings and FanDuel.
$7,000 DK
Alex Cobb is too cheap on DraftKings tonight, plain and simple. He struck out nine batters in 7.1 spring innings and allowed just one earned run. Sure, the Padres have hit righties well this season, but it's inflated by a .353 BABIP (second-highest vs RHP in MLB). Meanwhile, Cobb's arsenal lends itself to a ton of ground balls, so that should help minimize any damage. Cobb certainly doesn't have the highest strikeout upside on the slate and going up against Yu Darvish isn't an easy feat. At $7,000 on DraftKings, though, I'll take my chances.
Hitters
$12 Y!/$2,000 FD/$2,500 DK
Santiago Espinal is too cheap again. He's hit safely in three of four games this year, including three hits and a stolen base yesterday against New York. Espinal hit lefties at a .348 clip in 2021, and he's carried over his momentum from spring (.313 BA) into the regular season. It would behoove Toronto to keep his bat in the lineup and, even if he does hit in the bottom third, all of the sluggers are up next to drive Espinal in when he gets on base.
$13 Y!/$3,200 FD/$4,100 DK
Do you like BvP data? I know I do! Justin Turner is 6-for-8 in his career against Chris Archer and Turner also posted a .363 wOBA against RHP in 2021. We didn't see much of Archer in the spring, and his lone outing resulted in three earned runs on five hits in just 2.2 innings of work. He may not be out there for long tonight if the game is played, as there does appear to be some rain in the area. After an 0-for-5 performance in the opener, Turner has three hits in his last eight at-bats.
$2,700 FD/$3,400 DK
In Pittsburgh, Chad Kuhl dealt with home run problems. He's posted a 1.21 HR/9 mark for his career and, more notably, a 1.49 HR/9 mark over 126.2 IP between 2020 and 2021. Lefties against Kuhl is the way to go as, for his career, left-handed hitters have posted a .363 wOBA and .491 slugging percentage against him. Lastly, Kuhl struggled in the spring, serving up two home runs and a total of eight earned runs on 12 hits in just 5.1 innings of work. Kuhl is bad against lefties while Brad Miller is good against righties and is hitting atop the Rangers order. Match made in heaven.
$2,800 FD/$3,100 DK
Please let Connor Joe lead off! MartÃn Pérez allowed a .308 average and .374 wOBA to right-handed hitters in 2021 and those marks sit at .296 and .353, respectively, over his entire career. Perez is no stranger to the long ball, and Joe punished southpaws last year to the tune of a .306 batting average and .941 OPS. Through four games, Joe is hitting .313 with a .480 wOBA and he's homered in two of his last three contests.
$2,300 DK/$2,500 FD
Dakota Hudson pitches to contact and though Bobby Witt Jr. is hitting just .125 on the year, he finds a way to put up fantasy points – scoring nine or more in three of his last four contests. The Kansas City third baseman has all the talent in the world and he'll put the bat on the ball against Hudson. From there, good things should happen. Witt Jr. may only have two hits through four games this season, but both have gone for doubles and he's added three runs scored, three RBI, and one stolen base to his ledger.

George Kirby told reporters he’s fine after being hit in the face by a line drive during Tuesday’s start against the Orioles.
It sounds like Kirby, who had a noticeable bruise on the right side of his upper lip while speaking to reporters, managed to avoid serious injury when he was struck by a 102.7-mph line drive during the fifth inning of Tuesday’s outing. He added that the ball deflected off his right hand before hitting him in the face, managing to avoid any major damage. The 27-year-old righty appears on track to make his next start on Sunday against the Angels.
Pablo López will undergo an MRI after exiting Tuesday’s start against the Athletics with right shoulder tightness.
It sounds like a virtual lock that López will require a trip to the injured list after suffering a potential lat strain while warming up for the sixth inning of Tuesday’s outing in Sacramento. The 29-year-old righty will undergo further testing and imaging on Wednesday to determine the severity of the strain and how much time he’s going to miss. Fantasy managers should prepare for a multi-week absence, even if it’s on the milder end of the spectrum. There should be an update on his status at some point this week. David Festa and Simeon Woods Richardson are the most likely candidates to fill his rotation spot.
Max Muncy went 2-for-4 with two homers and three RBI on Tuesday, powering the Dodgers to a 6-5 victory over the Mets.
Muncy has been on a tear at the plate as his home run barrage continued Tuesday. He took Tylor Megill deep for a two-run blast in the first inning, then later tied the game with a solo homer in the bottom of the ninth for his second round-tripper of the evening. The 34-year-old slugger is up to nine homers, five in his last seven games, while hitting .230/.350/.432 across 223 plate appearances.
Freddie Freeman went 2-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, and a run scored against the Mets on Tuesday.
Freeman put the Dodgers on the board with a double in the first inning to bring home a run before scoring on a groundout. His next hit came in the bottom of the tenth. With two runners on and one out, he doubled off the left field wall to drive in the game-winning run. The 35-year-old first baseman is hitting an incredible .369/.435/.626 with nine homers, 34 runs scored, and 40 RBI across 214 plate appearances.
Juan Soto went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer against the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Soto took Clayton Kershaw deep for his only hit of the game, sending a two-run blast to right center field. It was Soto’s third home run in four games and his 11th on the season as he’s hitting .233/.361/.438 with 39 runs scored, 30 RBI, and seven steals across 269 plate appearances.
Huascar Brazobán gave up one run to blow the save chance against the Dodgers on Tuesday.
With Edwin DÃaz getting a breather after pitching in three of the last four games, Brazobán was summoned to close things out with a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth. He surrendered a game-tying solo homer to Max Muncy before ultimately striking out the side.
