While we get games all day on this fine Wednesday, for our purposes here we are looking at a nine game MLB DFS main slate tonight on all three sites beginning at 7 PM on the east coast. Once again, Coors Field is going to cast a vast shadow on the slate but we do have a good number of options available to us. Leading up to lineup lock, be sure to keep an eye on the latest MLB weather, MLB news, and MLB lineups. Now it’s time to dig into some MLB DFS value options for tonight’s slate that can help you finish in the green.

MLB DFS Value Pitchers

Caleb Kilian (CHC); DraftKings - $6,400; FanDuel - $6,500; Yahoo - $27

Kilian is back for his second career start, and he looked pretty good in his debut with five innings of three run ball against St. Louis. The right-hander finished with 14.3 DK points thanks in part to six strikeouts and has a 1.40 xERA to go along with his actual mark of 5.40. In 43 innings at Triple-A this season, over 10 starts, Kilian has a 2.51 ERA while striking out close to 10 batters per nine innings. At the very least, a repeat of Kilian’s first start is reasonable expectation and we are getting him at a very fair price.

Roansy Contreras (PIT); DraftKings - $6,900; FanDuel - $8,000; Yahoo - $37

At this price, I’m going to continue targeting Contreras pretty much regardless of who the opponent is. It’s not going to be easy for the rookie against St. Louis but he has proven to be able to handle himself pretty well thus far in his brief major league career and his 10.61 strikeouts per nine innings offers up some nice upside. That was apparent in his last start as Contreras managed 13 DK points despite allowing three earned runs on eight hits in 4.2 innings thanks to seven strikeouts. In 28 innings this year, Contreras has a 2.57 ERA (3.73 xERA) and we should get another solid outing from tonight.

Spencer Strider (ATL); DraftKings – $7,700; FanDuel - $7,500; Yahoo - $32

You can’t talk about strikeout upside without mentioning Strider after he struck out eight in 5.2 innings against Pittsburgh in his last start. He gets another favorable matchup tonight against Washington and the strikeouts should continue to flow with 13.38 per nine innings. Strider does walk 4.46 batters per nine innings but it hasn’t hindered him as the right-hander has a 2.35 ERA and 2.00 FIP.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Orlando Arcia, SS/3B/2B/OF (ATL); DraftKings - $2,000; FanDuel - $2,100; Yahoo - $11

With the unfortunate injury to Ozzie Albies, Arcia now finds himself getting regular playing time with Atlanta. For those playing on FD he is available across the infield, but DK and Yahoo do require you to use Arcia in the outfield, but at that price it certainly isn’t a struggle to fit him into any lineups. Erick Fedde is a very hittable starting pitcher tonight going against the Braves and once again they will be a popular stack and Arcia can fit very nicely within that. The utility player went 2 for 4 with a home run last night and he is hitting .327 on the season with eight RBI in 56 plate appearances and it’s hard to miss him as a free square tonight.

Christian Bethancourt, C/1B (OAK); DraftKings - $3,300; FanDuel - $2,100; Yahoo - $16

While we focus on the Boston offense against Oakland, Bethancourt has a favorable matchup as well tonight as he continues to have success in the middle of the lineup for the A’s. Bethancourt is in the midst of a mild five game hitting streak, three with multi-hits, and he is up to a solid .268 on the season with four home runs, 15 RBI, and 20 runs scored in 131 plate appearances. In 94 batted ball events, Bethancourt has a 17% barrel-rate while also sporting a 46.8% hard-hit rate and with contact like that it’s reasonable to expect the success to continue.

Teoscar Hernández, OF (TOR); DraftKings - $4,800; FanDuel - $2,500; Yahoo - $18

One of the three sites (DK) has Hernandez priced reasonably, and it’s quite frankly borderline criminal how cheap the outfielder is on FD. Stacking Toronto hitters tonight, especially right-handed bats, against Bruce Zimmerman is going to be a popular option and Hernandez fits perfectly with this strategy. After going three for five on Monday with an RBI, Hernandez picked up another hit on Tuesday to extend his hitting streak to seven games and make it 16 of 17 games with a hit for the outfielder. His batting average is now up to .245 on the season thanks to a .370 batting average in June and we shouldn’t get used to seeing Hernandez here much longer.

Michael Harris, OF (ATL); DraftKings - $2,900; FanDuel - $2,600; Yahoo - $16

I brought up the strategy of stacking Atlanta hitters tonight, and I found it hard to resist not including a second one here in Harris. On DK and Yahoo it does force you to use two Braves’ outfielders, but your time to utilize the rookie at this price point isn’t going to be here much longer. Harris went deep for the second straight game on Tuesday while bringing his hit streak up to seven games and his batting average to .317.
