He put the Giants on the board with their first run, taking Bradley Blalock deep for a solo homer in the third inning. He later drew a pair of walks and came in to score on a base hit by Jung Hoo Lee. The 23-year-old outfielder is hitting .167/.222/.333 with two homers and a steal across 45 sporadic plate appearances.

Walker appears to be getting back on track. He got the save chance Saturday with a three-run lead against the Rockies. Walker pitched a clean frame, striking out the final batter for his sixth save of the season. It was hit third straight scoreless appearance while striking out five batters with no walks over the three games.

Hicks held the Rockies to just one hit through five scoreless innings before running into trouble in the sixth. A walk and two base hits to start the frame would bring a run in for Colorado and leave runners on the corners as Hicks was relieved at 88 pitches with no outs. Both inherited runners would come in to score. The 28-year-old right-hander will take a 6.03 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and a 34/15 K/BB ratio across 37 1/3 innings into a start against the Twins in Minnesota on Friday.
