2025 Player Outlook

Betts experienced a power decline last season and it wasn't necessarily due to the fractured hand, as he actually had a higher ISO and slugging percentage after the injury. Even if the power doesn't return, Betts is still a top fantasy asset due to his ability to contribute all across the stat sheet. He posted elite strikeout and walk numbers, while leading off for the WS Champion Dodgers. He will come with IF positional eligibility as well.

Mookie Betts (toe) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Mets.

Betts returns at shortstop and batting second on Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium following a four-game absence due to a fractured toe that he suffered last week in an off-field accident. It doesn’t sound like the issue will impact his on-field performance or availability moving forward, but it’s a situation fantasy managers should continue monitoring closely. He’s in the midst of another strong campaign, slashing .254/.338/.405 with 42 runs scored, eight homers, 31RBI and five steals through 53 games.

Mookie Betts (toe) remains out of the lineup for Monday’s showdown against the Mets.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Betts is available to pinch-hit later in the contest, if necessary. The 32-year-old fantasy superstar progressed to running the bases and also went through defensive drills prior to Monday’s series opener at Dodger Stadium with the aim of being ready for Tuesday’s contest. He’s been out of the lineup for four consecutive games since suffering a fractured toe last week in an off-field incident at his home. It’ll be rookie Hyeseong Kim filling in at shortstop again on Monday night in his absence.

Mookie Betts (toe) is set to be re-evaluated prior to Tuesday’s contest against the Mets.

Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts said after Sunday’s game that Betts felt good after his baseball activity on Sunday and was even able to do some light hitting in the batting cage. He won’t return on Monday, as Hyeseong Kim will draw another start in his place at shortstop, but it sounds like there’s growing optimism that he could potentially be ready on Tuesday. He’s still considered day-to-day for the time being.
