Nick Castellanos had three of the Phillies’ five hits Thursday in the loss to the Blue Jays.
Nothing close to a homer, which, honestly, was a surprise.
Nick Castellanos went 4-for-4 in the first game of a doubleheader against Atlanta to help the Phillies to a win Thursday.
All four hits were singles. Castellanos is now hitting 289 on the season with a respectable .330 on-base clip, but the .408 slugging percentage leaves something to be desired. The 33-year-old isn’t an elite power hitter, but his track record suggests he should see the ball travel over the fence for him on a more consistent basis this summer.
Nick Castellanos finished 3-for-5 with a homer, a double and four RBI in leading the Phillies to an 8-4 win over the Rays on Tuesday.
Castellanos’s three-run homer off Mason Englert put the game away in the eighth. It was his first homer since Apr. 14 and third in 35 games overall.
Nick Castellanos went 2-for-4 and drove in a run on Thursday as the Phillies fell to the Nationals.
Castellanos delivered an RBI single off of Brad Lord in the sixth inning that pulled the Phillies to within two runs at 4-2. That would be as close as they would get. With his two-hit attack, the 33-year-old is now slashing .278/.333/.426 with three long balls and 17 RBI on the season.
