There should be some clarity on his potential return timeline in the coming days.

Eovaldi is scheduled to throw a bullpen session during Monday’s off day before Texas kicks off a three-game series against the Rays. The 35-year-old righty was able to play catch earlier this week without any issues after exiting his previous start on Tuesday with triceps fatigue. Fantasy managers should anticipate Eovaldi being ready to take the ball this week, barring an unexpected development.

Eovaldi left Tuesday’s start after only two innings due to right triceps fatigue, so the move certainly makes sense. The Rangers have an off day on Monday, so the rest of their rotation will remain on regular rest until the club decides when and where to slot Eovaldi back in. He had been lined up for two starts next week, now that assignment will go to Tyler Mahle.
