2025 Player Outlook
Arenado continues to be a regular on the field, playing in 144 or more games in each of the last four years, but the problem lies with the fact that his power is dissipating, and last year's 16 home runs was the fewest he's hit in a season since 2013 (not counting 2020). His .394 SLG last year was easily the lowest of his career, and last year's average exit velocity of 86.3 miles per hour was in the ninth percentile in the MLB. The bat speed isn't there, and age may finally be catching up to Arenado. He's going to play every day and will continue to get the bat on the ball, but the days of Arenado being a prolific offensive force are behind him. He's an average third base option who will need to hit .275+ to offset the lower-end power you'll get (comparative to the position).

Nolan Arenado slugged his eighth home run of the season and drove in three runs on Tuesday evening, but it wasn’t enough to power the Cardinals past the Blue Jays.
Arenado smacked a one-out single off of Chris Bassitt in the second inning, but the Cardinals couldn’t cash him in. He then got them on the board with a run-scoring single in the fourth inning and rode home on Nolan Gorman’s three-run blast. The 34-year-old slugger then tagged Chad Green for a 367-foot (101.5 mph EV) two-run shot in the eighth inning that pulled the Cardinals to within two runs at 8-6. He finished the evening 3-for-4 and is now hitting .242/.304/.394 with eight long balls and 35 RBI on the season.
Nolan Arenado hit a two-run homer while going 2-for-4 in the second game of Thursday’s doubleheader against the Royals.
Arenado tied the game at 5-5 with a two-run homer off Cole Ragans in the third inning. The 34-year-old has his seventh homer of the season, and he’s driven in 31 runs; putting him around an 80-RBI pace. Arenado is a relative shell of the player he was a few years ago, but he’s not completely incapable of helping fantasy managers.
Nolan Arenado (ribs) is in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Orioles.
Arenado is back at the hot corner and batting sixth after sitting out Monday’s series opener due to a rib injury that he suffered over the weekend when he fell into the stands attempting to make a catch. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward.
Nolan Arenado is getting Monday off after hurting himself while falling into the stands in the ninth inning of Sunday’s game.
Arenado took a chair arm to the kidney and was in serious pain, though he remained in to finish the game. “Overall, I feel okay,” he said. “Should be fine by tomorrow, just kind of stiff today. So, I’m just gonna get some treatment and then go from there. But tomorrow I should be okay.” The Cardinals have Nolan Gorman at third base today.
