2025 Player Outlook
After swiping 33 bags in 2023, Castro stole just 14 bases last season and was actually caught nine times. His sprint speed did drop from the 82nd percentile to the 66th percentile, but perhaps the 33 stolen bags in 2023 is the outlier, and Castro is more of a 15-20 steal guy. The quality of contact isn't great, all things considered, but he's willing to take a walk and should be a consistent presence at the top of the Minnesota lineup. He'll run into enough balls that he'll get to double-digit home runs, and his 2025 could be similar to his 2024 campaign, albeit with a few more stolen bases. Let's project 10-14 home runs with 18-22 stolen bases, and a .250ish average, and those numbers also come with eligibility at four different positions (2B/3B/SS/OF).
