Andujar was pulled from Sunday’s game against the Blue Jays with right oblique discomfort. He’s undergoing additional exams on Monday, the results of which will inform the A’s final decision on the matter, but it sounds like he’s going to be shelved for at least a couple of weeks. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues who may be counting on Andujar for next week should be sure to have an alternative option ready to go.

Oblique issues can be tricky matters, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Andjuar require a trip to the injured list in the coming days. The 30-year-old infielder finished Sunday’s game 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored before exiting in the fifth inning.

Andujar is back at third base and batting sixth after sitting out Monday’s series opener with right rib soreness. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward.
