2025 Player Outlook
McMahon has now posted four straight seasons with at least 20 home runs. The strikeouts are likely to continue limiting his upside, but he is still a useful fantasy asset. He has struggled to get the batting average above .250, but at least he is likely to walk at a rate better than 10 percent.
Player News
Ryan McMahon went 1-for-2 with a solo homer, two runs scored, and two walks against the Giants on Tuesday.
McMahon took Kyle Harrison deep for a solo homer in the fourth inning and later drew a walk in the sixth before he was caught stealing second. McMahon would reach once more in the eighth on a walk and scored on a triple by Brenton Doyle. The 30-year-old third baseman is a likely trade candidate for the Rockies as we get deeper into the season. McMahon is hitting .215/.328/.377 with eight homers, 26 runs, and 19 RBI over 262 plate appearances.
Ryan McMahon hit a solo homer in a blowout loss to the Mets on Saturday.
Ryan McMahon went 1-for-4 with a RBI double on Friday against the Mets.
McMahon’s double in the sixth inning put the Mets’ backs up against the wall for a moment before Huascar Brazobán worked out of trouble and ended the threat. They wouldn’t challenge again, which should be expected. While his April was a total disaster at the plate, he has a strong .884 OPS through May and looks much more like the player he’s always been.
Ryan McMahon drove in two runs and reached three times in a win over the Yankees on Friday.
McMahon walked twice, but the big blow was a two-run double that gave the Rockies a 3-2 lead and their ninth victory of the season. The 30-year-old has swung the bat better in May, but is still slashing just .211/.337/.368 over the first 51 games of the year. It’s possible McMahon could be on the move for a team that needs to start over. Again.
