Gomber will make his season debut after missing the first two-plus months of the season with his shoulder issue. The 31-year-old has been effective at times, but his inability to miss bats while playing for a team that has shown an inability to be competent makes him a hard pass in fantasy leagues.

Gomber has been on the injured list since early March with a shoulder injury. He suffered a setback when he first tried to begin his rehab process in early April, and now will try and begin the process again. It will likely be early July before he becomes an option for the Rockies.

It’s merely a procedural move for Colorado. Gomber is facing an extended absence due to shoulder inflammation.

Not good. Gomber hit the injured list last week with left shoulder soreness that slowed down his throwing program during the early stages of spring training. The face that he’s still dealing with shoulder inflammation is an extremely concerning development. The 31-year-old southpaw will presumably undergo some additional testing and imaging to determine whether he’s dealing with any structural issues. There should be an update on his status at some point in the coming days.
