Toussaint’s stay with the Angels lasted roughly 48 hours and involved exactly one relief appearance. The 28-year-old righty figures to pass through waivers unclaimed and will likely elect free agency instead of accepting an outright assignment back to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Toussaint signed with the Angels just before the start of the 2025 season, and now he’ll get a chance to help the Los Angeles bullpen. The 28-year-old is a former top prospect, but hasn’t had much success at the highest level.

Toussaint was a highly-regarded pitching prospect roughly a decade ago, but never quite blossomed into an impact contributor at the highest level.
