Bohm finished the series 7-for-13 with six RBI, and his current .717 OPS is his highest mark since the third game of the season. He should go back to putting up strong RBI numbers as long as the Phillies keep batting him third or fourth.

Bohm put the Phillies on the board in the fourth inning with a solo homer off Chad Patrick. He added a base hit in the ninth and scored on a triple by Johan Rojas. Bohm’s contributions wouldn’t be enough as the Phillies were blown out 17-7. The 28-year-old third baseman is hitting .270/.306/.386 with five homers, 25 runs scored, and 21 RBI across 229 plate appearances.

Bohm was elevated to the fifth spot in the lineup tonight. He hit fourth or higher in each of his first 10 games this season, but because of his early slump, he’d batted sixth or lower every time he’d been in the lineup since. The move ahead of Nick Castellanos was overdue and should help his fantasy value some. Bohm is hitting .341 with four homers and 12 RBI in 23 games this month.

Bohm has started to show some signs of life, hitting .315 (17-for-54) with one homer and six RBI over his last 15 contests, following an abysmal few weeks to kick off the season. It’ll be Edmundo Sosa getting an opportunity at the hot corner on Saturday afternoon in his place.
